Dyroderes
''Dyroderes umbraculatus'' is a shield bug belonging to the family Pentatomidae, subfamily Pentatominae. The species was first described by Johan Christian Fabricius in 1775. The genus ''Dyroderes'' has one living representative, but ''BioLib'' also records one fossil species: ''Dyroderes laticollis'' Piton, 1940. ''D. umbraculatus'' mainly lives on ''Galium'' species and is found in Austria, the British Isles, Bulgaria, France, Greece, Hungary, Italy, Portugal, Spain and Switzerland Switzerland, officially the Swiss Confederation, is a landlocked country located in west-central Europe. It is bordered by Italy to the south, France to the west, Germany to the north, and Austria and Liechtenstein to the east. Switzerland .... Pentatominae
Pentatominae is a subfamily of Pentatomidae, a family of shield bugs. This subfamily is the largest one within the Pentatomidae, having 4937 species classified in 938 genera. Species in this subfamily are phytophages and several of them are considered agricultural pests. Some invasive pentatomines such as ''Halyomorpha halys'' and ''Bagrada hilaris'' have been considered household pests. Higher systematics of the group have been revised by Rider et al. Tribes and genera Tribes within this subfamily include: * Aelini Douglas & Scott, 1865 # ''Aelia (bug), Aelia'' Fabricius, 1803 # ''Aeliopsis'' Bergevin, 1931 # ''Neottiglossa'' Kirby, 1837 * Aeptini Stål, 1871 # ''Aeliosoma'' Baehr, 1985 # ''Aeptus'' Dallas, 1851 # ''Caridillus'' Bergroth, 1909 # ''Eribotes (bug)'' Stål, 1867 # ''Hillieria'' Distant, 1910 # ''Mariomella'' Faúndez & Rider, 2019 # ''Menestheus (bug)'' Stål, 1867 # ''Paramenestheus'' Breddin, 1900 # ''Pseudaelia'' Distant, 1910 * Aeschrocorini Distant, 1902 # ...

Pentatomidae
Pentatomidae is a family of insects belonging to the order Hemiptera, generally called shield bugs or stink bugs. Pentatomidae is the largest family in the superfamily Pentatomoidea, and contains around 900 genera and over 4700 species.Robert G. Foottit, Peter H. Adler ''Insect Biodiversity: Science and Society'', John Wiley and Sons, 2009, As hemipterans, the pentatomids have Hemiptera#Mouthparts, piercing sucking mouthparts, and most are herbivore, phytophagous, including several species which are severe pests on Agriculture, agricultural crops. However, some species, particularly in the subfamily Asopinae, are predatory and may be considered beneficial. Etymology The name "Pentatomidae" is from the Greek language, Greek ''pente'' meaning "five" and ''tomos'' meaning "section", and refers to the five segments of their antennae. Kapunda (insect)
Kapunda is a town on the Light River near the Barossa Valley in South Australia. It was established after a discovery in 1842 of significant copper deposits. The population was 2,917 at the 2016 Australian census. The southern entrance to the town has been dominated since 1988 by the statue of Map Kernow ("the son of Cornwall"), a traditional Cornish miner. The statue was destroyed by a fire in June 2006 but was rebuilt. History Francis Dutton and Charles Bagot, who both ran sheep in the area, discovered copper ore outcrops in 1842. They purchased around the outcrop, beginning mining early in 1844 after good assay results. Mining began with the removal of surface ore and had progressed to underground mining by the end of the year. Copper was mined until 1879. There are also quarries near the town which provide fine marble ranging from dark blue to white. Marble from the Kapunda quarries was used to face Parliament House in Adelaide, and the pedestal of the statue of Ven ...

Menedemus (insect)
Menedemus of Eretria (; 345/44 – 261/60 BC) was a Greek philosopher and founder of the Eretrian school. He learned philosophy first in Athens, and then, with his friend Asclepiades, he subsequently studied under Stilpo and Phaedo of Elis. Nothing survives of his philosophical views apart from a few scattered remarks recorded by later writers. Life Menedemus was born at Eretria. He was a member of the noble Theopropidai family, which held significant religious authority but had become impoverished by Menedemus's time. Like his father, Cleisthenes, he worked as a builder and tent maker. In the course of military conflicts (probably 323/322 BC, during the Lamian War) he was sent with a military expedition to Megara, from where he traveled to the Platonic Academy in Athens and resolved to devote himself to philosophy. At Megara he formed a lifelong friendship with Asclepiades of Phlius, with whom he toiled in the night that he might study philosophy by day. Later, Asclepiades and ...
