Avraham Schorr
Avraham Halevi Schorr, also known as Avrohom Schorr, is a Rabbi in Flatbush, NY. He is the Rav of Congregation Nezer Gedalyahu and author of numerous works on Jewish theology. He is the son of Gedalia Schorr, former Rosh Yeshiva of Yeshiva Torah Vodaas and brother of Rabbi Yisroel Simcha Schorr, current Rosh yeshiva of Ohr Somayach, Monsey and one of the General Editors of the English and Hebrew translations of Artscroll's Schottenstein Edition Talmud. Schorr has been the compiler of Ohr Gedaliyahu. He holds a regular schedule of lectures, and has a following of about more than 100 students who learn daily "Daf Yomi", the daily learning of the Talmud. His lectures have been described as "thick" with content, challenging his audience to keep pace with his multi-threaded points. His late Shabbos Evening meals are attended by hundreds of followers. Schorr (crater)
Schorr is a lunar impact crater that lies across the eastern limb of the Moon. From the Earth this crater is viewed from the side, limiting the amount of detail that can be observed. The visibility of this crater is also affected by libration of the Moon in its orbit. The crater lies just to the northwest of the walled plain Curie, and to the east-southeast of the crater Gibbs. When viewed from orbit, this appears as a circular crater with an outer rim that has not been significantly worn through impact erosion. The material along the inner walls has accumulated along the bottom of the sloping sides, forming a ledge along parts of the base. The interior floor is irregular in places, with low ridges crossing parts of the bottom. Schorr intrudes slightly into the satellite crater Schorr A to the southeast. Kehat Shorr
Kehat Shorr (21 February 1919 – 6 September 1972) was the shooting coach for the 1972 Israeli Olympic team. He was one of the 11 members of Israel's Olympic team killed in the Munich massacre. Biography Kehat Shorr was born in Romania. There, he devoted himself to marksmanship and became an expert marksman. He moved to Israel in 1963 and lived in Tel Aviv with his wife and daughter. He joined the “Hapoel” team and quickly became its coach, training many young Israeli marksmen. He trained the national team for the Twentieth Olympic Games in Munich. Munich massacre Kehat was among the Israelis taken hostage and murdered by Black September (group), Black September terrorists at the 1972 Summer Olympics.
