Schnader Harrison Segal
Schnader Harrison Segal & Lewis LLP was a U.S. law firm based in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, and founded in Philadelphia in 1935 by former Pennsylvania Attorney General William A. Schnader, Bernard G. Segal, a former Deputy Attorney General serving under Schnader, and Francis A. Lewis. The firm was initially named Schnader & Lewis. Eventually, Segal was added as a name partner. The fourth name partner, Earl G. Harrison, joined the firm in 1948. When the firm announced its closure it had roughly 90 attorneys in six offices nationwide. On August 3, 2023, the firm announced it would dissolve and permanently cease operations. Philip Hamburger is an American legal scholar in the fields of constitutional law and legal history. He is the Maurice and Hilda Friedman Professor of Law at Columbia Law School, where he the school's Center for Law and Liberty in 2014. He founded the New Civil Liberties Alliance in 2017 and serves as the CEO. Kenneth Gerald Gormley (born March 19, 1955) is an American legal academic who is the 13th president of Duquesne University. He is a former dean and a professor of constitutional law at Duquesne University School of Law. He is also a legal counsel for the Appellate Practice Group at the law firm Schnader Harrison Segal & Lewis LLP. His scholarly work focuses particularly on the Watergate scandal and special prosecutors. Arlin Marvin Adams (April 16, 1921 – December 22, 2015) was a United States circuit judge of the United States Court of Appeals for the Third Circuit.
