Anthony Schlegel (born March 1, 1981) is an American football coach and former linebacker. He previously served as the assistant strength and conditioning coach at Ohio State University from 2011 to 2015 and was the head strength and conditioning coach for the Jacksonville Jaguars in 2021. Schlegel played college football at The Ohio State University after transferring from the United States Air Force Academy and was drafted by the New York Jets in the third round of the 2006 NFL Draft. In January 2011, Schlegel returned to his college alma mater as an assistant strength and conditioning coach for the Buckeyes. Johann Adolf Schlegel
Johann Adolf Schlegel (17 September 1721 – 16 September 1793) was a German poet and clergyman. Biography Schlegel was born in Meißen, Saxony, and was the brother of Johann Elias Schlegel. After finishing his studies in Leipzig, he became a deacon and teacher at Pforta in 1751. In 1754, he became a pastor and professor in Zerbst, before moving to become a pastor in Hannover at the Marktkirche in 1759. He rose to the consistory of the Hanoverian Lutheran Church and the deanship at the Neustädter Kirche in 1775, dying in Hanover in 1793. His sons August Wilhelm Schlegel and Friedrich Schlegel were influential early members of the Romantic movement. He was a noted contributor to the Bremer Beiträge, a literary journal popular at the time. Despite his active work in literary circles, only one hymn has survived to the present day out of all his poetry and musical works. Victor Schlegel (4 March 1843 – 22 November 1905) was a German mathematician. He is remembered for promoting the geometric algebra of Hermann Grassmann and for a method of visualizing polytopes called Schlegel diagrams. In the nineteenth century there were various expansions of the traditional field of geometry through the innovations of hyperbolic geometry, non-Euclidean geometry and algebraic geometry. Hermann Grassmann was one of the more advanced innovators with his anticipation of linear algebra and multilinear algebra that he called "Extension theory" (''Ausdehnungslehre''). He was the Chair of the Department of Pathology at Georgetown University from 2000-2019 and is now the director of the Center for Cell Reprogramming at Georgetown. Karl Paul Schlegel (7 May 1893 – 27 October 1918) was a German World War I flying ace credited with 22 victories. Schlegel was shot down by French ace Petar Marinovich. He was the last German ace to be killed in World War I. Prewar life Karl Paul Schlegel was born in Wechselburg, the Kingdom of Saxony on 7 May 1893. He began attending military school in 1907. On 1 April 1912, he began active duty in the Royal Sachensburg Machine Gun Section #19 as a Gefreiter. He would later be serving with the 8th Cavalry Division when World War I began.
