Anne Schilling is an American mathematician specializing in algebraic combinatorics, representation theory, and mathematical physics. She is a professor of mathematics at the University of California, Davis. Education Schilling completed her Ph.D. in 1997 at Stony Brook University. Her dissertation, ''Bose-Fermi Identities and Bailey Flows in Statistical Mechanics and Conformal Field Theory'', was supervised by Barry M. McCoy. From 1997 until 1999, she was a postdoctoral fellow at the Institute for Theoretical Physics at Amsterdam University and from 1999 until 2001, she was a C.L.E. Robert Schilling (17 April 1913 – 30 October 2004) was a 20th-century French historian and Latinist, a specialist in the history of religion in ancient Rome. Biography A former student of the École Normale Supérieure where he was admitted in 1935, received at the agrégation de lettres in 1938, Robert Schilling was appointed a member of the École française de Rome in 1939. Mobilized until 1941, however, he was unable to make the intended stay. Official representative of the National Museums in 1941, appointed professor in the high school of Moulins (Allier) in 1942, he soon after became assistant and lecturer of Latin at the Sorbonne where he was elected maître de conférence in 1945, and some time later professor of Latin language and civilization at the University of Strasbourg. Reinhard Schwarz-Schilling
Reinhard Schwarz-Schilling (9 May 1904 in Hannover – 9 December 1985 in Berlin) was a German composer. The son of a chemical manufacturer, Schwarz-Schilling embarked upon his musical studies in 1922, first in Munich and – interrupted by several extended breaks in Italy – from 1925 in Cologne, where he studied with Walter Braunfels (composition), Philipp Jarnach (piano) and Heinrich Boell (organ). From 1927 to 1929, he studied with Heinrich Kaminski, who also taught Carl Orff. In 1938, he obtained a teaching position at the Musikhochschule in Berlin (now the Berlin University of the Arts). One of his most prominent pupils was Isang Yun. A devout Catholic, Schwarz-Schilling's music was often inspired by religious and spiritual themes. Baron Pavel Lvovitch Schilling (1786–1837), also known as Paul Schilling, was a Russian military officer and diplomat of Baltic German origin. The majority of his career was spent working for the imperial Russian Ministry of Foreign Affairs as a language officer at the Russian embassy in Munich. As a military officer, he took part in the War of the Sixth Coalition against Napoleon. In his later career, he was transferred to the Asian department of the ministry and undertook a tour of Mongolia to collect ancient manuscripts. Schilling is best known for his pioneering work in electrical telegraphy, which he undertook at his own initiative.
