Nordic Brazilians refers to Brazilians of full or partial Nordic ancestry, or Nordic-born people residing in Brazil. The Nordic settlement in Brazil began in the mid to late 19th century and was predominant when around 3,640 Nordic peoples arrived in Brazil, mainly from Sweden. Many Nordic people came to Brazil for economic reasons and to start a new life. In recent years, a few Norwegians and Swedes have migrated to the littoral zone of the State of Rio Grande do Norte (mainly Natal) and Ceará, attracted by the beaches and the tropical climate. São João da Boa Vista (; "Saint John of the Good View" in English) is a municipality in the state of São Paulo, Brazil. The population in 2020 was 91,771 and the area is . The elevation is . History of its foundation The city was founded on June 24, 1824, when a group of miners decided to rest at the edge of Jaguari Mirim River, which was already in the state of São Paulo. Daniel Carlsson Solander or Daniel Charles Solander (19 February 1733 – 13 May 1782) was a Sweden, Swedish naturalist and an Apostles of Linnaeus, apostle of Carl Linnaeus. Solander was the first university-educated scientist to set foot on Australia, Australian soil. Biography Solander was born in Piteå, Norrbotten, Sweden, to Rev.
