Saïd Hamich Benlarbi (b. 1986 in Fez) is a Moroccan-French film producer and director. Biography Born in Morocco, Hamich lived in Bollène until he left for Paris after finishing his secondary education. He graduated from Fémis (department of film production) then worked as a producer for ''Barney Production'' which he founded before his first film, ''Return to Bollene (Retour à Bollène)'', that was filmed in February 2017. ''Hounds'' (original title: ''Les meutes''), is a 2023 Moroccan crime drama film written and directed by Kamal Lazraq. Taking place over one night in Casablanca, it follows Hassan and Issam, an impoverished father-son duo, as they attempt to dispose of a body after a botched kidnapping. Plot Dib, a dog-fighting kingpin, seeks revenge after his prized hound is killed in a fight. He enlists Hassan, an impoverished dogsbody who makes a living from petty crime, to help kidnap one of the rival's middlemen. Hassan brings along his reluctant son, Issam, who is more street-smart than his father. Issam is wary of the mission, especially when their van, which he considers a bad omen due to its red color, seems to confirm his fears. Ismael El Maoula El Iraki (born 1983 in Morocco) is a French-Moroccan filmmaker. He is a survivor of the November 2015 attacks on the Bataclan in Paris, which inspired his first feature film, '' Zanka Contact''. Biography El Iraki was born in Morocco in 1983. He moved to France in 2001, where he studied philosophy and film theory before entering the directing section of La Fémis in 2004. His short film Carcasse, a sci-fi movie about construction workers in the Sahara, won the Short Film Corner Award in Cannes. His second short film Harash, a dark comedy thriller set in Casablanca, won the Jury Award and the Attention Talent Directing Award at the Clermont-Ferrand International Short Film Festival. Faouzi Bensaïdi ( ar, فوزي بن السعيدي; born 14 March 1967) is a Moroccan film director, actor, screenwriter and artist. His film ''A Thousand Months'' was screened in the Un Certain Regard section at the 2003 Cannes Film Festival. In 2007 and 2009 he has taken part in the Arts in Marrakech Festival showing and discussing his films and installations. In 2011, his film ''Death for Sale'' premiered at the 2011 Toronto International Film Festival, Toronto International Film Festival in September.
