Sayyid Ahmedullah Qadri
Sayyid Ahmedullah Qadri ( 9 August 1909 – 5 October 1985), known as ''Lisan-ul-Mulk'', was a List of Indian writers#S, writer, author, critic, editor-in-chief, Indian independence activist, Indian politician and an acclaimed figure of Hyderabad, India. He was president of Lutfuddaulah Oriental Research Institute Hyderabad, president of Hyderabad Journalist Association, member of State Library Council. Qadri was awarded civilian award Padma Shri in 1966 by the government of India for his work in literature and education. He was also a member of Andhra Pradesh State Legislative Council and chairman of Andhra Pradesh state Hajj Committee of India, Hajj Committee. Further he was founder and editor-in-chief of the Urdu daily newspaper ''Saltanat'' and Paisa Akhbar; prior to that he was editor in Tarikh Publications, which was founded by his father since 1929. ''Sayyid'' (, ; ar, سيد ; ; meaning 'sir', 'Lord', 'Master'; Arabic plural: ; feminine: ; ) is a surname of people descending from the Islamic prophet Muhammad through his grandsons, Hasan ibn Ali and Husayn ibn Ali, sons of Muhammad's daughter Fatima and his cousin and son-in-law Ali (Ali ibn Abi Talib). Hyderabad State
Hyderabad State () was a princely state located in the south-central Deccan region of India with its capital at the city of Hyderabad. It is now divided into the present-day state of Telangana, the Kalyana-Karnataka region of Karnataka, and the Marathwada region of Maharashtra in India. The state was ruled from 1724 to 1857 by the Nizam, who was initially a viceroy of the Mughal empire in the Deccan. Hyderabad gradually became the first princely state to come under British paramountcy signing a subsidiary alliance agreement. During British rule in 1901 the state had an average revenue of Rs. 417,000,000, making it the wealthiest princely state in India.
