Sayat-Nova Music School
The Sayat-Nova School of Music () is a music education institution in Yerevan, Armenia. History The school was founded in 1934 by Varduhi Zakaryan as a small musical studio, she became its first director. In 1940, the studio became the third music school in Yerevan and had 200 pupils. In 1944, it was named after the Armenian Ashik, ashugh Sayat-Nova. The choir and violin classrooms were created in 1970. Tigran Hekekyan has been Director of the school since 2003. Mashtots Avenue
Mashtots Avenue ( hy, Մաշտոցի Պողոտա ''Mashtots'i Poghota''), known as Lenin Avenue until 1990, is an avenue in the central Kentron district of Yerevan, Armenia. The avenue starts with the Victory Bridge at the south and ends up with the Matenadaran museum to the north. Hasmik Papian
Hasmik Papian ( hy, Հասմիկ Պապյան; born 2 September 1961) is an Armenians, Armenian soprano. She was awarded the People's Artist of Armenia title in 2004. Vartan Adjemian
Vartan Adjemian ( hy, Վարդան Աճեմյան, , ; born 27 April 1956) is an Armenian composer of orchestral, operatic, and chamber music whose works have been performed worldwide. Career Adjemian studied composition with prominent Armenian composer Ghazaros Saryan (son of Martiros Saryan) at the Yerevan Komitas State Conservatory from 1973 to 1981. In 1987, Adjemian was awarded the National Prize of the Armenian SSR (for his Symphony No. 1). His music has been performed in Armenia, Bulgaria, the Czech Republic, Finland, Georgia, Iceland, Poland, Russia, the United Kingdom, Switzerland, and the United States. Sergei Babayan ( hy, Սերգեյ Բաբայան; born 1 January 1961) is an Armenian-American pianist. Described by ''Le Devoir'' as a "genius", Babayan won many international competitions, including the Robert Casadesus International Piano Competition in 1989 and the Hamamatsu International Piano Competition in 1991. Ruben Sargsyan
Ruben Sargsyan, also seen as Sarkisyan ( hy, Ռուբեն Սարգսյան; November 22, 1945 – April 6, 2013), was an Armenian composer, laureate of the State Award of Armenia, professor of the Yerevan Komitas State Conservatory. Biography Ruben Sargsyan was born in Yerevan, Armenia, in the family of scientist agronome Suren Sargsyan. He first began to study at the Sayat-Nova Music School, then continued his education at the Romanos Melikian Music College. Gagik Hovunts (1 March 1930 – 1 September 2019) was an Armenian composer, born in Yerevan. He started his music education at the Alexander Spendiaryan Music School. Konstantin Petrossian ( hy, Կոնստանտին Պետրոսյան; ; born 12 August 1946 in Yerevan, Armenia) is a composer, pianist and conductor. Petrossian graduated from the Romanos Melikian Music College and then earned a master's degree in composition and musicology Komitas State Conservatory in Yerevan, where he graduated with a master's degree in composition and musicology. Kentron ( hy, Կենտրոն վարչական շրջան, translit=Kentron varčakan šrĵan), is one of the Districts of Yerevan, 12 districts of Yerevan, the capital of Armenia.
