Konstantin Petrossian
Konstantin Petrossian ( hy, Կոնստանտին Պետրոսյան; ; born 12 August 1946 in Yerevan, Armenia) is a composer, pianist and conductor. Petrossian graduated from the Romanos Melikian Music College and then earned a master's degree in composition and musicology Komitas State Conservatory in Yerevan, where he graduated with a master's degree in composition and musicology. He taught harmony, theory, and chorale arrangement at Romanos Melikian Music College. For many years he was also conductor of the Armenian TV/Radio Orchestra, and Director of the Armenian Music Center. Petrossian is an Armenian composer of symphonic, choral, chamber, instrumental, and vocal music, sound tracks, and theater music. His works are performed, recorded and have been published worldwide. Komitas State Conservatory of Yerevan ( hy, Երևանի Կոմիտասի անվան պետական կոնսերվատորիա), also known as Yerevan Komitas State Conservatory (YKSC) or Yerevan State Conservatory (YSC), is a state-owned college of music located in Yerevan, Armenia. The institute was founded in 1921 as a music studio. In 1923, it was turned into a higher musical education institution. Rhode Island Philharmonic Orchestra
The Rhode Island Philharmonic Orchestra (RIPO) is a professional orchestra in Rhode Island. Following the death of music director Bramwell Tovey in 2022, Tania Miller was named Interim Principal Conductor. Francisco Noya holds the title of Resident Conductor. Founded in 1945 and based in East Providence, Rhode Island, its performing home is Veterans Memorial Auditorium in Providence. Along with the annual Rhode Island Chamber Music Concerts and the Providence Singers, the Rhode Island Philharmonic Orchestra is one of the best examples of classical music companies in Rhode Island.
