Jazmin Sawyers
Jazmin Sawyers (born 21 May 1994) is a British track and field athlete who competes in the long jump, and sports presenter. She has also competed as a bobsledder and a heptathlete. Representing England, she was the silver medallist in the long jump at the 2014 Commonwealth Games. She won a silver medal at the 2016 European Athletics Championships and a bronze medal in the 2022 event. At both the 2016 Summer Olympics and the 2020 Summer Olympics, she finished eighth in the long jump. Her outdoor personal best is 6.90m achieved in June 2021. Philip Sawyers
Philip Sawyers (born 20 June 1951) is a British composer of orchestral and chamber music, including four symphonies. Sawyers was born in London. He began composing as a teenager, studying at Dartington College of Arts in Devon with Colin Sauer (violin) and Helen Glatz (composition). His studies continued at the Guildhall School of Music where his teachers were Joan Spencer and Max Rostal (violin), and Buxton Orr, Patric Standford and Edmund Rubbra (composition). A career as an orchestral violinist, starting in 1973 with the Royal Opera House Orchestra, Covent Garden, left little room for composition. During this time Sawyers was also teaching, primarily as the violin coach for the Kent County Youth Orchestra, and as a visiting teacher at schools and colleges. This lasted until 1997, when he opted to spend a year in postgraduate study at Goldsmiths College, leading to a resumption in composition. Riley Ann Sawyers
Riley Ann Sawyers (March 11, 2005 – July 24, 2007) was a two-year-old American girl who was beaten to death by her mother Kimberly Dawn Trenor and her mother's partner Royce Zeigler in a filicide. Her body was later found in Galveston Bay, Texas. The level of decomposition meant that police were unable to immediately identify the remains and began a nationwide effort to learn the child's name. Riley Ann's identity was confirmed when her paternal grandmother, Sheryl Sawyers, notified police after seeing a composite sketch. Her remains were then positively identified through DNA testing on November 30, 2007. Prior to her 2007 identification, Riley Ann Sawyers was known as Baby Grace due to her age and sex. Rodney Sawyers (born July 27, 1967) is a former NASCAR driver. He competed limited schedules in the racing series in 2001 and 2002. Busch Series career Sawyers ran an R & D Ford for two races in 2001 NASCAR Busch Series, helping out Hensley Racing. He made his first career race at Gateway, qualifying 34th. However, he fell out of the race extremely early and finishing 43rd, last place on the field. Sawyers then had a solid qualifying effort of 20th at IRP, before finishing 39th in the event due to clutch problems. Those were his only career starts in that series. Sawyer's, Inc. was an American manufacturer and retailer of slide projectors, scenic slides, View-Master reels and viewers, postcards, and related products, based in Portland, Oregon. Founded in 1914 as a photo-finishing company, Sawyer's began producing and selling View-Masters in 1939, and that soon became its primary product. It later diversified into other photographic products, mostly related to film transparencies, and established manufacturing plants in Europe, Japan and India.
