Amarilis Savón
Amarilis Savón Carmenate (born 13 May 1974) is a Cuban judoka who has competed at four Olympic Games and won three Olympic bronze medals at 1992 in Barcelona, 1996 in Atlanta and 2004 in Athens. Currently living in Miami, Florida, in the United States serving as a lead instructor and coach at Somerset Academy Charter. She coached three athletes at the 2013 USA Judo Senior Nationals who earned one gold and one silver medal. Olympic Games Career Amarilis first competed at the 1992 Summer Olympics in Barcelona for Cuba at the 1992 Summer Olympics. She competed in the women's extra lightweight category and finished third and won the bronze medal. Four years later, Amarilis competed at the 1996 Summer Olympics in Atlanta. Her first bout was in the round of 16 against Algeria's Salima Souakri, the fifth-place finisher from the previous games. Erislandy Savón
Erislandy Savón Cotilla (born July 21, 1990) is a Cuban heavyweight amateur boxer. He won the 91 kg/201 lbs title at the 2008 Youth World Amateur Boxing Championships, the 2009 Pan American Championships at Super Heavyweight and also the AIBA World Boxing Championships 2015 and 2017 in Heavyweight. Career Savón who hails from Guantánamo is a nephew of Félix Savón and also a big puncher. He won the Youth World Championships 2008. At the National Championships he lost the 91 kg/201 lbs semifinal 2008 to Osmay Acosta 3:6 and was disqualified in 2009. Savon won his first senior title at the 2009 PanAmerican Championships against Juan Hiracheta He was sent to the 2009 World Amateur Boxing Championships at Super Heavyweight instead of national champion Robert Alfonso, beat two unknowns but lost to the eventual runner-up Roman Kapitonenko in his third bout.

Considered one of the all-time greatest amateur boxers, he became three-time Olympic gold medalist, and the World Champion six times in a row, all in the heavyweight division. Vladimir Andreyevich Savon ( ua, Володи́мир Андрійович Саво́н; 26 September 1940 – 1 June 2005) was a Ukrainian chess player. He was awarded the title of Grandmaster by FIDE in 1973. Savon shared the Ukrainian Chess Championship in 1969 and won the USSR Championship in 1971. He competed in the 1972 Chess Olympiad. Biography Born in Chernihiv, he learned how to play at the age of 13. Savon competed in the Soviet championship eleven times, from 1961 (at age 21) to the last championship in 1991. His best result was his first place in the 1971 championship with an undefeated 15/21. Only an international master, he finished 1.5 points ahead of former world champions Mikhail Tal and Vasily Smyslov. Osco Drug and Sav-on Drugs were the names of a pair of chain pharmacies that operated in the United States. Osco Drug was founded by the Skaggs family. Alpha Beta grocery store was purchased by American Stores in 1961. Skaggs Drug Centers bought American Stores in 1979 and assumed the American Stores name. Sav-on Drugs was a California-based pharmacy chain that was acquired by Osco's parent company in 1980. Both Osco and Sav-on stores eventually came under the ownership of American Stores, then Albertsons, and finally SuperValu before the stores were sold off. The Osco and Sav-on brands survive today as brandings for in-store pharmacies in the Albertsons chain of stores. Osco pharmacies can be found in Jewel stores, which are co-branded Jewel-Osco, as well as in Shaw's and Star Markets. Sav-on pharmacies are found largely in Acme stores.
