Saunalahti, Espoo
Saunalahti (Finnish) or Bastvik (Swedish) is one of the newest apartment building districts in Espoo, Finland, located by the Kummelivuori hill between Kivenlahti and Kurttila, west of the Kauklahdenväylä road, on the coast of the Espoonlahti bay. The bay at Saunalahti is named Bastvikfjärden. The area also contains original detached house residence from old Saunalahti and agriculture. Saunalahti is separated from Kivenlahti by the ''Länsiväylä'' highway, continuing to Kirkkonummi as ''Jorvaksentie''. The Bastvik manor, dating back to the 19th century, has long since fallen into disrepair. In 2005, the city has started renovating it, and it is planned to host the office of the renovation project architects (Arkkitehtitoimisto Okulus Oy), a café, and a home. Kamppi
Kamppi () is a neighbourhood in the centre of Helsinki, the capital of Finland. The name originally referred to a small area known as the "Kamppi field" (see below), but according to the current official designation, "Kamppi" encompasses a much larger area with a population of 10,000 in 2004. The heart of Kamppi is a part of the Central Business District. However, in stark contrast to the other districts of central Helsinki, development in Kamppi was sporadic and the very centre of Kamppi remained entirely undeveloped until 2002. The name "Kamppi" is derived from the Swedish word for battle, '' kamp''. Under Russian rule in the 19th century, Kamppi was mainly used as a military area by Russian forces, with barracks and training fields, which the name refers to. In 2009 the Helsinki Court of Appeal convicted Jippii leadership of using inside information when selling its own shares, accounting mistakes and too good information of the company finance to public in 2001. Rantaraitti
The rantaraitti (Finnish) or strandpromenaden (Swedish) is an urban hiking and cycling route along the coastline of Espoo, Finland, bordering the Gulf of Finland. The approximate total length of the route is 27 km. Most of the route goes very near the coastline. At some places, it has to divert inland to public roads, because the coast is inaccessible or private property. The rantaraitti route starts at Laajalahti, near the border to Helsinki and then continues through the districts of Laajalahti, Otaniemi, Tapiola, Westend, Haukilahti, Matinkylä, Nuottaniemi, Kaitaa, Soukka and Espoonlahti to Saunalahti, near the border to Kirkkonummi. Villa
A villa is a type of house that was originally an ancient Roman upper class country house. Since its origins in the Roman villa, the idea and function of a villa have evolved considerably.
