Satwinder Bitti ( pa, ਸਤਵਿੰਦਰ ਬਿੱਟੀ) is a Punjabi singer of Punjab, India. She was a national-level hockey player and later adapted singing as profession. In 2011, she judged a singing reality show, ''Awaaz Punjab Di'', by a Punjabi TV channel mh1. Early life Bitti was born in a Punjabi Sikh family, to father S. Gurnaib Singh and mother Gurcharan Kaur. Her father, retired from PWD, Patiala, also had an interest in music and taught her the basics of music. She used to sing religious songs on different devotional functions and thus started singing at a very early age of five. She is the fan of the singer Lata Mangeshkar and later, took singing as a profession and released many religious and folk albums. She has done a BSc. (non-medical) from MCM DAV College, Chandigarh Sec-36 and was a national-level hockey player. Sardar, also spelled as Sardaar/Sirdar ( fa, سردار, , 'commander', literally 'headmaster'), is a title of royalty and nobility that was originally used to denote princes, noblemen, chiefs, kings and other aristocrats. Amarinder Singh
Captain Amarinder Singh (born 11 March 1942), is an Indian politician, military historian, former royal and Indian Army veteran who served as the 15th Chief Minister of Punjab. A former Member of the Legislative Assembly, Punjab and Member of Parliament, Lok Sabha, he was also the president of Punjab Pradesh Congress Committee. He has also previously served as the Chief Minister of Punjab from 2002 to 2007 and 2017 to 2021. His father was the last Maharaja of the princely state of Patiala. He has also served in the Indian Army from 1963 to 1966. In 1980, he won a seat in the Lok Sabha for the first time. As of November 2022, Singh also serves as the chairman of the Punjab Urdu Academy. Bhangra (music)
Bhangra () is a type of non-traditional music of Punjab originating in the Southall area of United Kingdom. It is a type of upbeat popular music associated with the Punjabi diaspora in Britain. The style has its origins in the folk music of Punjab as well as western pop music of the 1970s and 1980s. Prior to this musical fusion, Bhangra existed only as a dance form in the native Punjab. This British music was unique in that it was not traditional nor did it seek any authenticity. Field Hockey
Field hockey is a team sport structured in standard hockey format, in which each team plays with ten outfield players and a goalkeeper. Teams must drive a round hockey ball by hitting it with a hockey stick towards the rival team's shooting circle and then into the goal. The match is won by the team that scores the most goals. Matches are played on grass, watered turf, artificial turf, synthetic field, or indoor boarded surface.
