Satan Shoes
Satan Shoes were a series of custom Nike Air Max 97 shoes, created in 2021 as a collaboration between musician Lil Nas X and MSCHF, an art collective. Their design and marketing gained controversy through prominent satanic imagery. Nike, Inc. sued MSCHF for trademark infringement, false designation of origin, trademark dilution, and unfair competition. Design and promotion Each pair of shoes is black, and features a bronze pentagram on the laces and an Cross of Saint Peter, inverted cross, while on the sides of the shoes is a reference to the Bible, Biblical passage Luke 10:18. MSCHF claims that the shoes are made with "60cc of ink and 1 drop of human blood". According to MSCHF co-founder Daniel Greenberg, the blood came from "about six" MSCHF employees. The ''Crucifixion and Last Judgement diptych'' (or ''Diptych with Calvary and Last Judgement'')Vermij et al., 362 consists of two small painted panels attributed to the Early Netherlandish artist Jan van Eyck, with areas finished by unidentified followers or members of his workshop. This diptych is one of the early Northern Renaissance oil on panel masterpieces, renowned for its unusually complex and highly detailed iconography, and for the technical skill evident in its completion. Sneaker collecting is the acquisition and trading of sneakers as a hobby. It is often manifested by the use and collection of shoes made for particular sports, particularly basketball and skateboarding. A person involved in sneaker collecting is sometimes called a sneakerhead.
