Sascha Stein
Sascha Stein (born 19 October 1984) is a German professional darts player who currently playing in Professional Darts Corporation (PDC) events. Career In November 2014, Stein lost in the final of the Bulls Superleague qualifier for the 2015 PDC World Darts Championship 8–10 to Max Hopp. However, Hopp subsequently qualified through the PDC Pro Tour Order of Merit so Stein took his place in the preliminary round where he beat Finland's Kim Viljanen 4–1. Stein then eliminated Stuart Kellett 3–1 in the first round with both players averaging in the 70's to set up a meeting with world number one and reigning champion Michael van Gerwen. Despite taking the first set, Stein was beaten 1–4. Stein attempted to earn a PDC tour card in 2015 at Qualifying School, but could not win past the last 64 on any of the four days. Birkenau (Odenwald)
Birkenau in the Odenwald is a municipality in the Bergstraße district in southern Hesse, Germany. Its nickname is ''Das Dorf der Sonnenuhren'' – “The Sundial Village”. Darts or dart-throwing is a competitive sport in which two or more players bare-handedly throw small projectile point, sharp-pointed projectile, missiles known as dart (missile), darts at a round shooting target, target known as a #Dartboard, dartboard. The Professional Darts Corporation (PDC) is a professional darts organisation in the United Kingdom, established in 1992 when a group of leading players split from the British Darts Organisation (BDO) to form what was initially called the World Darts Council (WDC). Sports promoter Eddie Hearn is the PDC chairman. The PDC developed and holds several championship competitions, including the annual PDC World Darts Championship, the World Matchplay, World Grand Prix, UK Open, Premier League, and Grand Slam. 2015 PDC World Darts Championship
The 2015 William Hill World Darts Championship was the 22nd World Championship organised by the Professional Darts Corporation since it separated from the British Darts Organisation. The event was held at the Alexandra Palace, London between 18 December 2014 and 4 January 2015. Michael van Gerwen was the defending champion, having won his first World Championship title in 2014, but he lost 6–3 to Gary Anderson in the semi-finals. Anderson won the title by beating 16-time World Champion Phil Taylor 7–6 in the final. Taylor became the first player in PDC World Championship history to reach the PDC World Champsionship final, achieve a tournament 3-dart average of over 100, and yet not win the title. Max Hopp
Max Hopp (born 20 August 1996) is a German professional darts player who competes in Professional Darts Corporation (PDC) events. Career Hopp reached the final of the 2011 WDF World Cup boys' singles, and won the boys' singles event at the 2012 WDF Europe Youth Cup. He also reached the last 16 of the 2012 Dutch Darts Masters, defeating Terry Jenkins and Steve Beaton before losing to Paul Nicholson. Hopp qualified for the 2013 PDC World Darts Championship by winning the Central European Qualifier in Bielefeld and in doing so became the second-youngest player ever to compete at the championships after Mitchell Clegg. Hopp played Charl Pietersen of South Africa in the preliminary round winning by 4 legs to 1 to set up a first round match against Denis Ovens. Stuart Kellett
Stuart Kellett (born 12 August 1981) is a former English darts player. BDO career Kellett reached the last 16 of the 2007 Winmau World Masters, having beaten Andy Fordham among others on the way to the televised stages. He lost 1-3 in sets to the then BDO world champion Martin Adams. He also qualified for the 2008 Zuiderduin Masters, losing both of his group games to Mareno Michels and Darryl Fitton. In 2010, Kellett won both the Scottish Open and the Antwerp Open. His good run of form helped him to qualify for the 2010 Winmau World Masters as the second seed. He knocked out Tony West in the last 16, before defeating Ted Hankey and Martin Phillips (both in sudden-death legs) to reach the final. Michael Van Gerwen
Michael van Gerwen (; born 25 April 1989) is a Dutch professional darts player. He is currently ranked number 3 in the world, having been number 1 from 2014 to 2021. He is also a three-time PDC World Champion, having won the title in 2014, 2017 and 2019. Van Gerwen is regarded as one of the best players of all time. Van Gerwen began playing darts at the age of 13. He won the 2006 World Masters and threw a televised nine-dart finish at the 2007 Masters of Darts, becoming the youngest player to do both, aged 17. 2015 German Darts Championship
The 2015 German Darts Championship was the first of nine PDC European Tour events on the 2015 PDC Pro Tour. The tournament took place at Halle 39, Hildesheim, Germany, between 13–15 February 2015. It featured a field of 48 players and £115,000 in prize money, with £25,000 going to the winner. Gary Anderson was the defending champion, having beaten Justin Pipe 6–5 in the 2014 tournament´s final, and in this year's final Michael van Gerwen won the title by beating Anderson 6–2.
