Sarah Lockett
Sarah Lockett (born in Surrey) is a TV news anchor and reporter. Professional Lockett started out recording 0898 information telephone lines, before working for Capital Radio, London. Lockett then became a TV news anchor and reporter, who has worked for Sky News, Channel Four News, BBC News 24, ITN and Forces TV. She has also written for newspapers including The Scotsman (for 18 months). Lockett has written articles for various magazines alongside her broadcast news career and she also has a food/cooking blog at Money Magpie Stalker In January 2000 a 30-year-old man was jailed for 30 months for stalking Lockett. He wrote some 80 letters, stalked the Meridian studios, and tried to find out her home address. He told Lockett: "Every celebrity needs a stalker." Capital Radio
Capital London is a radio station owned and operated by the Global media company as part of its national Capital FM Network. As Capital Radio it was launched in the London area in 1973 as one of Britain's first two commercial radio stations. Its brief was to entertain, while its opposite number, London Broadcasting (LBC), was licensed to provide news and information. In search of a larger audience in 1974, Capital Radio rapidly moved from a general and entertainment station with drama, features, documentaries and light music to a more successful pop music-based format. In 1988 it became two stations: 95.8 Capital FM and Capital Gold. Emily Maitlis
Emily Maitlis (born 6 September 1970) is a British journalist, documentary filmmaker, and former newsreader for the BBC. She was the lead anchor until the end of 2021 of ''Newsnight'', the BBC Two news and current affairs programme. Julia Mary Fownes Somerville, (born 14 July 1947) is an English television news reader and reporter who has worked for the BBC and ITN. Early life and education Somerville was born in Wells, Somerset, the granddaughter of Admiral of the Fleet Sir James Fownes Somerville (1882–1949) of Dinder House in Somerset. She was educated at Airthrie Preparatory School in Cheltenham and Headington School in Oxford, graduating (1969) from the University of Sussex (BA English Literature).
