Sarah Liguori
Sarah Liguori (born 1983) is an American politician who served as a member of the Arizona House of Representatives from the 28th legislative district from 2021 to 2023. She was appointed to the seat after incumbent Representative Aaron Lieberman resigned to run for governor. She is a member of the Democratic Party. Liguori was born in Tucson, and went to the University of Arizona, in addition to studying international business at the Lorenzo di Medici University in Florence, Italy. 2022 Arizona legislature campaign In 2022, Liguori launched a campaign to keep her seat in the Arizona House of Representatives, competing for one of two seats representing the state's 5th legislative district. Liguori's campaign was endorsed by Planned Parenthood Advocates of Arizona, alongside Arizona Democratic Party Vice Chair Brianna Westbrook, who is also competing for a seat in the same legislature and district. Arizona's 28th Legislative District (LD28) is one of 30 in the state, situated in central Maricopa County. The district is composed of the town of Paradise Valley, Arizona, Paradise Valley and much of North Central Phoenix, including the Arcadia (Phoenix), Arcadia, Biltmore Area, Biltmore, and Sunnyslope, Phoenix, Sunnyslope neighborhoods. As of 2021, there are 57 precincts in the district, with a total registered voter population of 150,713. The district's overall population is 234,609. Brianna Westbrook (born November 24, 1984) is an American transgender rights activist who is a vice-chair and executive committee member of the Arizona Democratic Party. A former political director of Equality Arizona, she is the first transgender person to be elected as a vice-chair of a state Democratic Party. She ran as a Justice Democrat in the Arizona's 8th congressional district special election primary following the resignation of Trent Franks in 2018.
