Sarah Ioannides
Sarah Ioannides (born 1972, in Canberra) is an Australian/British conductor, collaborator and multimedia producer living in the United States. She is currently music director of Symphony Tacoma and the founding artistic director of Cascade Conducting and Composing. Early life and education Ioannides was born in Canberra, Australia and grew up in England. Her father, Ayis Ioannides, is a conductor and composer of Greek Cypriot ancestry. Her mother, Gwyneth Woollard, is of Scottish ancestry. Royal Philharmonic Orchestra
The Royal Philharmonic Orchestra (RPO) is a British symphony orchestra based in London, that performs and produces primarily classic works. The RPO was established by Thomas Beecham in 1946. In its early days, the orchestra secured profitable recording contracts and important engagements including the Glyndebourne Festival Opera and the concerts of the Royal Philharmonic Society. After Beecham's death in 1961, the RPO's fortunes declined steeply. The RPO battled for survival until the mid-1960s, when its future was secured after a report by the Arts Council of Great Britain recommended that it should receive public subsidy. A further crisis arose in the same era when it seemed that the orchestra's right to call itself "Royal" could be withdrawn. Derek Klein
Derek Klein (born April 1954) was a British stamp dealer, collector and accountant, who spent 16 months in jail in 2007-08 for stealing £70,000 from two church parishes in Norfolk. In an unusual court ruling, the judge at his trial allowed him to repay the money he had stolen through the sale of the stamps he had bought with the proceeds of his fraud. Daniel Ott (born 6 September 1960) is a Swiss composer. Career Born in Grub AR, Canton of Appenzell Ausserrhoden, Ott graduated in 1980. Afterwards he worked as a teacher in the regions of Basel and Graubünden and worked in independent theatre groups. From 1983 to 1985, he studied theatre in Paris and London. Dario Marianelli (born 21 June 1963) is an Italian composer known for his frequent collaborations with director Joe Wright. Early life, education Marianelli was born in Pisa, Italy. Richard Danielpour (born January 28, 1956) is an American composer. Early life Danielpour was born in New York City of Persian Jewish descent and grew up in New York City and West Palm Beach, Florida. He studied at Oberlin College and the New England Conservatory of Music, and later at the Juilliard School of Music, where he received a DMA in composition in 1986. His primary composition professors at Juilliard were Vincent Persichetti and Peter Mennin.
