Sara Edwards
Sara Elinor Edwards (born 1963 or 1964) is a Welsh broadcaster. She has been a co-presenter of BBC Wales' early-evening news programme, ''Wales Today.'' She is the Lord Lieutenant of Dyfed. Biography Edwards was born in Wales and brought up and educated in London, where she studied medieval and modern history. She started her career with Capital Radio, contributed regular items to BBC Radio Four, and was a continuity announcer and newsreader for HTV West before joining BBC Wales News. She has regularly presented from the Royal Welsh Show and the National Eisteddfod, and has made several series for BBC 2W,BBC – Press Office – Sara Edwards () including documentaries on rivers, horses, architecture and on the countryside in general. BBC Wales
BBC Cymru Wales is a division of the BBC and the main public broadcaster in Wales. It is one of the four BBC national regions, alongside the BBC English Regions, BBC Northern Ireland and BBC Scotland. Ann Widdecombe
Ann Noreen Widdecombe (born 4 October 1947) is a British politician, author and television personality. She was Member of Parliament (MP) for Maidstone and The Weald, and the former Maidstone constituency, from 1987 to 2010 and Member of the European Parliament (MEP) for South West England from 2019 to 2020. Originally a member of the Conservative Party, she was a member of the Brexit Party from 2019 until it was renamed Reform UK in 2021. Born in Bath, Somerset, Widdecombe read Latin at the University of Birmingham and later studied philosophy, politics and economics at Lady Margaret Hall, Oxford. Cardiff (; cy, Caerdydd ) is the capital and largest city of Wales. Royal Welch Fusiliers
The Royal Welch Fusiliers ( cy, Ffiwsilwyr Brenhinol Cymreig) was a line infantry regiment of the British Army, and part of the Prince of Wales' Division, that was founded in 1689; shortly after the Glorious Revolution. In 1702, it was designated a fusilier regiment and became the Welch Regiment of Fusiliers; the prefix "Royal" was added in 1713, then confirmed in 1714 when George I named it the Prince of Wales's Own Royal Regiment of Welsh Fusiliers. In 1751, after reforms that standardised the naming and numbering of regiments, it became the 23rd Regiment of Foot (Royal Welsh Fuzileers). In 1881, the final title of the regiment was adopted. It retained the archaic spelling of ''Welch'', instead of ''Welsh'', and ''Fuzileers'' for ''Fusiliers''; these were engraved on swords carried by regimental officers during the Napoleonic Wars. Jonathon Riley (British Army Officer)
Lieutenant General Jonathon Peter Riley, (born 16 January 1955) is a retired British Army officer and military historian. Military career Riley joined the British Army as an officer cadet in 1971, and was commissioned into the Queen's Regiment in 1974. He was promoted to lieutenant on 9 March 1976, to captain on 9 September 1980 and, having attended the Staff College, Camberley, in 1987, he was promoted to major at the end of the year. During this time he saw active service in Northern Ireland. Promoted to lieutenant colonel in 1993, Riley undertook a tour as an instructor at the Staff College, Camberley, that year. He was deployed as Commanding Officer of the 1st Battalion the Royal Welch Fusiliers to the Muslim enclave of Goražde in 1995 under a mandate to ensure the Serbs did not violate the NATO ultimatum.
