Sapa Arena
Sapa Arena is an indoor bandy and ice hockey rink in Vetlanda in Sweden. It is the home venue of Vetlanda BK, and was inaigurated on 10 September 2011 with a men's friendly bandy game where Vetlanda BK defeated Hammarby IF, 5–3. Sapa Arena holds 2,000 people. Vetlanda
Vetlanda () is a locality and the seat of Vetlanda Municipality, Jönköping County, Sweden with 13,050 inhabitants in 2010. History Vetlanda was still nothing more than a village for several centuries. With the 1840s population boom in Småland, and the industrial revolution winning ground in Sweden, the industry expanded and people settled in the village. With the railways crossing Vetlanda in the late 19th century the population further blossomed, and Vetlanda got the title of a city on New Year's Day 1920, at which time its population amounted to 3,015. The coat of arms was selected as an ear of wheat, a derivation of the arms for the old jurisdiction Östra Härad ( sv), wherein ''Vitala'' was rumoured to have been the centre, that depicted three ears of wheat. Vetlanda BK is a bandy club in Vetlanda, Sweden. Vetlanda BK was established in December 1944. While the exact date seems to be unknown, 6 December is usually credited. On 1 January 1945 the club played its first game, 4–4 on away soil against Flugeby. The home arena is called Sapa Arena. The team colour is yellow. Skirö AIK
Skirö () is a small village in Vetlanda Municipality in Sweden. It lies 25 km from the town of Vetlanda in the southeastern part of Jönköping County and has a population of about 70 (2010). Situated in a beautiful setting around Lake Skirö, it was dubbed ("The Garden of Småland") by Carolus Linnaeus. It was also the birthplace of botanist Eric Ragnar Sventenius (1910–1973). Hammarby IF Bandyförening is a Swedish bandy club from Södermalm, Stockholm, a section of the sports club Hammarby IF. Hammarby IF was founded under its present name in 1897 and has been playing bandy since 1905. The club currently play in Elitserien, which is the highest division in Sweden, and has won it twice. History Hammarby IF Bandy is one of the oldest bandy clubs in Sweden, founded in 1905 as a department of sports club Hammarby IF.
