Santi Promphat ( th, สันติ พร้อมพัฒน์) (born January 1, 1952) is a Thai politician who served as deputy minister of Finance in Prime Minister Prayut Chan-o-cha government. Education Santi graduated with a Bachelor of Arts (Political Science) from Ramkhamhaeng University in 2002 and a Master of Arts (Political Science) from Ramkhamhaeng University in 2004 and passed the Senior Executive Judicial Training Program (Class 11) in 2006–2007. The Pheu Thai Party (PTP; th, พรรคเพื่อไทย, lit=For Thais Party, , ) is the third incarnation of a Thai political party founded by former prime minister Thaksin Shinawatra. The Pheu Thai Party was founded on 20 September 2007, as an anticipated replacement for the People's Power Party (PPP), which the Constitutional Court of Thailand dissolved less than three months later after finding party members guilty of electoral fraud. Vesak (Pali: ''Vesākha''; sa, Vaiśākha), also known as Buddha Jayanti, Buddha Purnima and Buddha Day, is a holiday traditionally observed by Buddhism, Buddhists in South Asia and Southeast Asia as well as Tibet and Mongolia. The festival commemorates the birth, enlightenment (Nibbāna), and death (Parinibbāna, Parinirvāna) of Gautama Buddha in Theravada, Tibetan Buddhism and Navayana.
