Santi Chai Prakan Park
Santichaiprakarn Park ( th, สวนสันติชัยปราการ, , ) is a small urban park of about 8 rai (round about 3 acres) in Bangkok located on the ending phase of Phra Athit Road, Chana Songkram Subdistrict, Phra Nakhon District east bank of Chao Phraya River at mouth of Khlong Bang Lamphu (Bang Lamphu Canal) in the area of Bang Lamphu. Opposite to Rama VIII Park in Thonburi side. The park was built on the 72nd anniversary of King Bhumibol Adulyadej (Rama IX) on December 5, 1999. The king gave its name, meaningful ''"Signs of the Victory of Peace"''. Subsequently, the government granted Bangkok Metropolitan Administration (BMA) to act on February 21, 2000. Phra Sumen Fort
The fortifications of Bangkok consist of several series of defensive structures built to protect the city during the late Ayutthaya to early Rattanakosin periods. The earliest structures were built when Bangkok was an outpost of Ayutthaya guarding entry to the Chao Phraya River during the 15th–16th centuries. These were reinforced when the city became the site of the short-lived capital of Thonburi after the fall of Ayutthaya in 1767. New walls and forts were built when the city of Rattanakosin replaced Thonburi in 1782, which were mostly removed and replaced in the second half of the 19th century in order to accommodate the expanding city. Phra Phutthayotfa Chulalok Maharaj (, 20 March 1737 – 7 September 1809), personal name Thongduang (), also known as Rama I, was the founder of the Rattanakosin Kingdom and the first monarch of the reigning Chakri dynasty of Siam (now Thailand). His full title in Thai is ''Phra Bat Somdet Phra Paramoruracha Mahachakkriborommanat Phra Phutthayotfa Chulalok'' (). He ascended the throne in 1782, following the deposition of King Taksin of Thonburi. He was also celebrated as the founder of Rattanakosin (now Bangkok) as the new capital of the reunited kingdom. The Chao Phraya Express Boat ( th, เรือด่วนเจ้าพระยา ''Ruea Duan Chao Phraya'') is a transportation service in Thailand operating on the Chao Phraya River. It provides riverine express transportation between stops in the capital city of Bangkok and to Nonthaburi, the province immediately to the north. Established in 1971, the Chao Phraya Express Boat Company serves both local commuters and tourists. It also offers special tourist boats and a weekend river boat tours, as well as offering boats available for charter. ''Sonneratia'' is a genus of plants in the family Lythraceae. Formerly the Sonneratia were placed in a family called Sonneratiaceae which included both the ''Sonneratia'' and the ''Duabanga'', but these two are now placed in their own monotypic subfamilies of the family ''Lythraceae''.
