A telenovela is a type of a television serial drama or soap opera produced primarily in Latin America. The word combines ''tele'' (for "television") and ''novela'' (meaning "novel"). Similar drama genres around the world include '' teleserye'' (Philippines), '' téléroman'' (Canada, specifically Quebec), and ''sinetron'' (Indonesia). Commonly described using the American colloquialism Spanish soap opera, many telenovelas share some stylistic and thematic similarities to the soap opera familiar to the English-speaking world. Tina Romero (born Tina Romero Alcázar, August 14, 1949) is an American actress. A native of New York City, Romero moved to Mexico in her youth, and later established a career there as an actress. Her early film roles included '' The Divine Caste'' (1973) and the title character in the horror film '' Alucarda'' (1977). She has also appeared in American films, including ''Missing'' (1982), opposite Sissy Spacek and Jack Lemmon. Manuel Salvador Ojeda Armenta (4 November 1940 – 11 August 2022) was a Mexican actor. Ojeda was one of the most active actors of television and cinema in Mexico. He played the villain, Zolo, in the Hollywood film ''Romancing the Stone''. Career Manuel Salvador Ojeda Armenta was born in La Paz, Baja California Sur. He studied acting at the "Instituto de Bellas Artes" ("Institute of Fine Arts") and started his career in theatre. Richard Clayderman (; born Philippe Pagès , 28 December 1953 in Paris) is a French pianist who has released numerous albums including the compositions of Paul de Senneville, Olivier Toussaint and Marc Minier, instrumental renditions of popular music, rearrangements of movie soundtracks, ethnic music, and easy-listening arrangements of popular works of classical music. Sergio Jiménez (December 17, 1937 – January 3, 2007), born in Mexico City, was a Mexican actor who became famous after portraying the character of ''El Gato'' in the film ''Los caifanes''.
