Sanjoy Kishan
Sanjoy Kishan (born January 26, 1970, in Dhelakhat, Assam) is a Bharatiya Janata Party politician from Assam. He was elected to the Assam Legislative Assembly election in 2016, representing the Tinsukia (Vidhan Sabha constituency), Tinsukia constituency. Early life Sanjoy Kishan was born on 26 January 1970 to the late Mohanlal Kishan and the late Bisoka Kishan in Dhelakhat. He is a Class X (matric) pass. Political career He was 2016 Assam Legislative Assembly election, elected in 2016 to the Assam Legislative Assembly, Assembly for Tinsukia (Vidhan Sabha constituency), Tinsukia. Sarbananda Sonowal
Sarbananda Sonowal ( Assamese: সৰ্বানন্দ সোণোৱাল / IPA: xɔɹbanɔndɔ xʊnʊwal; born 31 October 1962) is an Indian politician from Assam who is the current Cabinet Minister of Ports, Shipping and Waterways and Cabinet Minister of AYUSH in the Government of India. He is a Member of Parliament in the Rajya Sabha (Upper House of India's Parliament) from Assam and also a member of the Cabinet Committee on Political Affairs. He is a former Chief Minister of Assam and a former Member of the Legislative Assembly (India) in Assam Legislative Assembly. Sonowal earlier served as the Assam state President of Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) from 2012 to 2014 and again in 2015 to 2016. Himanta Biswa Sarma was sworn in as Chief Minister of Assam on 10 May 2021, which led to the formation of his ministry and the current Government of Assam. 2016 Assam Legislative Assembly Election
The Assam Legislative Assembly Election of 2016 was held in two phases, on 4 and 11 April 2016, to elect members of the 126 constituencies in Assam, a state in North-eastern India. The overall voter turnout was 84.72%, which set a new record for Assam. The turnout was an increase from the 2011 Assembly election figure of 75%. The counting of votes and results declaration was completed on 19 May 2016.
