Sangareddy, is a city and district headquarters of the Sangareddy district in the Indian state of Telangana. It was named after the ruler Sanga, who was the son of Rani Shankaramba, a ruler of Medak during the period of Nizams. Medak district is a district located in the Indian state of Telangana. Medak is the district headquarters. The district shares boundaries with Sangareddy, Kamareddy, Siddipet and Medchal districts. Heritage Jail Museum also known as Jail Museum and Sangareddy District Jail is a 220-year-old colonial-era jail, now converted into a museum. Ordnance Factory Medak (OFMK) (Hindi: आयुध निर्माणी मेदक), previously called Ordnance Factory Project Medak (OFPM) while in its development stage, is a factory owned by Armoured Vehicles Nigam Limited , a company that manufactures armoured vehicles and was one of the 41 Indian Ordnance Factories under the erstwhile Ordnance Factories Board of the Ministry of Defence controlled by Government of India.
