Sandrine Mendiburu (born 15 October 1972) is a retired French professional golfer. In 1999 Mendiburu recorded back-to-back wins on the Ladies European Tour, winning the Donegal Irish Ladies' Open in a four-way a playoff and Ladies Hannover Expo 2000 Open, which she followed up with a runner-up position at Air France Madame Open two weeks later. She ended the season fifth on the LET Order of Merit. The Praia d'El Rey European Cup was an annual professional golf tournament played at Praia d'El Rey, Portugal. It was played in 1997, 1998 and 1999 between teams of men representing the European Seniors Tour and ladies representing the Ladies European Tour. There was no handicap but the men and women played off different tees. The men won the first event 13–7 in 1997 and retained the cup in 1998 after a 10–10 tie. The ladies won the final event 11–9 in 1999. Tommy Horton and Marie-Laure de Lorenzi were the captains on each occasion. 1990 Espirito Santo Trophy
The 1990 Espirito Santo Trophy took place 18–21 October at Russley Golf Club in Christchurch, New Zealand. It was the 14th women's golf World Amateur Team Championship for the Espirito Santo Trophy. The tournament was a 72-hole stroke play team event with 26 team entries, each with three players. The best two scores for each round counted towards the team total. The United States team won the Trophy, defending their title from two years ago and earning the title for the 11th time, beating the hosting country team New Zealand by 12 strokes. New Zealand earned the silver medal while the combined team of Great Britain & Ireland took the bronze on third place another eight strokes back. Espirito Santo Trophy
The Espirito Santo Trophy (World Women's Amateur Team Championships) is a biennial world amateur team golf championship for women organised by the International Golf Federation. The inaugural event was held in 1964. It was instituted by the French Golf Federation in an agreement with the United States Golf Association. It was planned by Lally Segard, at the time known as Vicomtesse de Saint Sauveur, from France and Mrs. Henri Prunaret from America. Segard also asked her friends Ricardo and Silvia Espirito Santo, from Portugal, to donate a trophy for the event, which they did. They had originally bought the golden cup, which had belonged to Tsar Nicholas II of Russia, for an international Portuguese event that was not played anymore. The 1989 European Ladies' Team Championship took place 5–9 July at Golf de Pals in Girona, Catalonia, Spain. It was the 16th women's golf amateur European Ladies' Team Championship. Venue The hosting course, situated in northern Spain, outside Girona, in the coastal region Costa Brava, Catalonia, 80 kilometres (50 miles) north of Barcelona, saw its first holes inaugurated in 1966. The European Ladies' Team Championship is a European amateur team golf championship for women organised by the European Golf Association. The inaugural event was held in 1959. It was played in odd-numbered years from 1959 to 2007 and has been played annually since 2008 (with the exception of 2012). Format Currently, the championship is contested by up to 20 teams, each of 6 players. The format consists of two rounds of strokeplay, out of which the five lowest scores from each team's six players will count each day. Loraine Lambert (born 18 August 1972) is a retired Australian professional golfer who played on the Ladies European Tour and the LPGA Tour. She won the Air France Madame Open in 1997.
