The Sandow Athletic Club was a sports club in the Philippines. Established in 1906, the football team participated in the first official match in the Philippines on October 15, 1906 in celebration of the opening of the Philippine Assembly. Jeffrey Christiaens
Jeffrey Mallen Christiaens (born 17 May 1991) is a Filipino Belgian former footballer who mainly played as a winger. He last played for Filipino side Ceres–Negros. He also represented the Philippines at international level. Career Club Christiaens started his youth career at Ruiselede before moving on to Deinze and eventually Club Brugge. Towards the end of the 2010–11 season, he was released by Club Brugge and signed for Belgian Third Division side Torhout. The Philippine Assembly (sometimes called the Philippine National Assembly) was the lower house of the Philippine Legislature from 1907 to 1916, when it was renamed the House of Representatives of the Philippines. The Philippine Assembly was the first national legislative body fully chosen by elections. William Howard Taft
William Howard Taft (September 15, 1857March 8, 1930) was the 27th president of the United States (1909–1913) and the tenth chief justice of the United States (1921–1930), the only person to have held both offices. Taft was elected president in 1908, the chosen successor of Theodore Roosevelt, but was defeated for reelection in 1912 by Woodrow Wilson after Roosevelt split the Republican vote by running as a third-party candidate. In 1921, President Warren G. Harding appointed Taft to be chief justice, a position he held until a month before his death. Taft was born in Cincinnati, Ohio, in 1857.
