Sandhya Vandanam (film)
Sandhya Vandanam is a 1983 Indian Malayalam film, directed by J. Sasikumar and produced by V. P. Dileep. The film stars Lakshmi, Sukumaran, MG Soman and Adoor Bhasi in the lead roles. The film has musical score by L. P. R. Varma. Plot Soudamini and Sarada are daughters of feudal lord Kuruppu in the village. Soudamini is in love with Sasi, son of their caretaker. Kuruppu learns about their relation and forbids his daughter from meeting Sasi. He also arranges Soudamini's wedding with Ramachandran, an engineer. Soudamini decides to elope with Sasi, however, her sister Sarada convinces Soudamini not to go for the sake of their family. Soudamini and Ramachandran get married, while a disheartened Sasi watches in pain. Sarada also marries a farmer, Madhavan Kutty. Soudamini moves in with Ramachandran and starts a happy married life. Lakshmi (actress)
Mahalakshmi (born 13 December 1952), known professionally as Lakshmi, is an Indian actress known for her works primarily in the southern film industry (distributing her acting career in almost each Dravidian language equally), along with some Hindi films. She made her film debut through a Tamil film '' Sri Valli'' in 1961. Her debut as an actress happened with the Tamil film '' Jeevanaamsam'' in 1968. In the same year, she also debuted in Kannada and Telugu films with ''Goa Dalli CID 999'' and '' Bandhavyalu'', respectively. In 1974, her debut Malayalam film, '' Chattakari'' went on to become a blockbuster throughout India. Manavalan Joseph was a Malayalam film actor. He is an actor who worked in many movies during the 1950s and 1960s. He died in 1986 Background Manavalan Joseph was born at Fort Kochi then in the Malabar District of the Madras Presidency of British India. His first film was Neelakuyyil in 1954. Vayalar Ramavarma
Vayalar Ramavarma (March 25, 1928 – October 27, 1975), also known as Vayalar, was an Indian poet and lyricist of Malayalam language. He was known for his poems which include ''Sargasangeetham'', ''Mulankaadu'', ''Padamudrakal'', ''Aayisha'' and ''Oru Judas janikkunnu'' and for around 1300 songs he penned for 256 Malayalam films. He received the National Film Award for Best Lyrics in 1972 and was the winner of the Kerala State Film Award for Best Lyrics in its year of inception which he received three more times. He was also a recipient of the Kerala Sahitya Akademi Award for Poetry in 1962. His collaborations with G. Chalappurathu Raveendranatha Menon (1950 – 24 November 2007), popularly known as Ravi Menon was a veteran Indian film actor who worked in Malayalam cinema. He was born in Sreekrishnapuram, Palakkad in 1950. He completed diploma from the Film and Television Institute of India in Pune and made his debut in Malayalam movie, ''Nirmalyam''. Philomina (1926 – 2 January 2006) was an Indian actress, who worked in the Malayalam film industry. She acted in more than 750 films in her career. She played mostly character and comedy roles, besides that of mother and grandmother. She started acting on the stage. This experience stood her in good stead when she was offered her first film role. Achankunju ( ml, അച്ചൻകുഞ്ഞ്) (1930 - 16 January 1987) was an Indian actor in Malayalam cinema. He started his career in the 1980s, mainly portraying villainous roles. He acted in more than 50 films in Malayalam. Background Achankunju hails from the Nellissery family, Kacherikkadavu, Kottayam in Kerala. M. G. Soman (28 September 1941 – 12 December 1997) was an Indian actor and former Indian Air Force officer who appeared in Malayalam films. He was one among the leading star actors doing hero roles in Malayalam Cinema during the late 1970s and early 1980s. He has also done roles in Tamil films ''Aval Oru Thodar Kathai'', '' Naalai Namadhe'', '' Kumaara Vijayam'' and ''Airport''. Edappal Ponnamkuzhi Veettil Parameswaran Sukumaran Nair (10 June 1948 – 16 June 1997), known mononymously as Sukumaran, was an Indian actor and producer of Malayalam films. Sukumaran became a popular film star in Malayalam cinema during the 1970s. He was considered one of the superstar trios of Malayalam cinema during the late 1970s and early 1980s along with Soman and Jayan.
