Achankunju
Achankunju ( ml, അച്ചൻകുഞ്ഞ്) (1930 - 16 January 1987) was an Indian actor in Malayalam cinema. He started his career in the 1980s, mainly portraying villainous roles. He acted in more than 50 films in Malayalam. Background Achankunju hails from the Nellissery family, Kacherikkadavu, Kottayam in Kerala. He is a Kerala State Film Award-winning actor in 1981 for the movie ''Lorry''. He died on 16 January 1987 at the age of 56 at Kottayam. He was survived by his wife Achamma, a son, Shajan and a daughter, Esamma. ''Lorry'' is a 1980 Malayalam film directed by Bharathan and written by Padmarajan. It stars Achankunju, Balan K. Nair, Nithya, Meena and Prathap Pothan. Plot Velan (Achan Kunju) is a street circus performer. He kidnaps and forcibly blinds village children and turn them into fellow circus performers. Once, he falls in love with one of his victims, Rani (Nithya), as does his lorry driver friend Ouseph (Balan K. Nair). ''Ithile Iniyum Varu'' is a 1986 Indian Malayalam-language film, directed by P. G. Viswambharan. The film stars Mammootty, Mukesh, Dipika Chikhlia and Thilakan in lead roles. The film had musical score by Shyam. It was remake of 1984 Hindi film Mashaal. Plot Aravindan ( Mammootty) is a bold journalist keen on exposing the illegal activities on M. S. Nair ( Balan K. Nair). Sandhya Vandanam is a 1983 Indian Malayalam film, directed by J. Sasikumar and produced by V. P. Dileep. The film stars Lakshmi, Sukumaran, MG Soman and Adoor Bhasi in the lead roles.
