Sanaahene
Sanaahene is the title given to the royal treasurer. The title Sa-hene, is used primarily in Ghana and is given to a traditional ruler who is considered capable of leading the warring groups of the area. The Sa-hene is mandated to aid the paramount chief of an area in the performance of his duty. In the Central Region of Ghana, the Sa-hene has oversight over the Asafo group. Nana Kofi Obiri Egyir II
Nana Kofi Obiri Egyir II is a Ghanaian businessman and traditional ruler. He is the Sanaahene of the Oguaa traditional area. He owns the hospitality facility Sanaa Lodge in the Central Region of Ghana. He was appointed to the Council of State by President Nana Addo Dankwa Akuffo-Addo in February 2017. He was once the national treasurer of the Popular Front Party. Adult life Nana Kofi Obiri Egyir II spent much of his working life as a businessman with interests mainly in the Ghanaian hospitality industry. His business ventures are mostly in the Central Region of Ghana and includes the Sanaa Lodge, a three star hospitality facility close to the Elmina Castle. Paramount Chief
A paramount chief is the English-language designation for the highest-level political leader in a regional or local polity or country administered politically with a chief-based system. Central Region (Ghana)
The Central Region is one of the sixteen administrative regions of Ghana. It is bordered by Ashanti and Eastern regions to the north, Western region to the west, Greater Accra region to the east, and to the south by the Gulf of Guinea. Asafo
Asafo are traditional warrior groups in Akan culture, based on lineal descent. The word derives from , meaning war, and , meaning people. The traditional role of the Asafo companies was defence of the state. As the result of contact with European colonial powers on the Gold Coast (present-day Ghana), the Fante, who inhabit the coastal region, developed an especially complex version of the concept in terms of its social and political organization based on martial principles, and with elaborate traditions of visual art, including flag banners with figurative scenes, and designs alluding to historical events or proverbs. Oguaa
Cape Coast is a city, fishing port, and the capital of Cape Coast Metropolitan District and Central Region of Ghana. It is one of the country's most historic cities, a World Heritage Site, home to the Cape Coast Castle, with the Gulf of Guinea situated to its south. Denkyira
Denkyira was a powerful nation of Akan people that existed before the 1620s, in what is now modern-day Ghana. Like all Akans, they originated from Bono state. Before 1620, Denkyira was called Agona. The ruler of the Denkyira was called Denkyirahene and the capital was Jukwaa. The first Denkyirahene was Mumunumfi. History Later, the capital of Denkyira moved to Abankeseso. The Denkyira state capital is now Dunkwa-on-Offin. Denkyira became powerful through gold production and trade with Europe. In the 1690s, wars took place between Denkyira and the Asen and Twifo-Heman.
