San Pedro is a district of the Pérez Zeledón canton, in the San José province of Costa Rica. It is located 30 kilometers south of San Isidro de El General. History San Pedro was created on 5 October 1951 by Ley 1360, Anexa de Buenos Aires. Geography San Pedro has an area of km² and an elevation of metres. Pérez Zeledón (canton)
Pérez Zeledón is the nineteenth canton of the province of San José in Costa Rica, located in the Brunca region. The capital city of the canton is San Isidro de El General. The canton's boundaries are established by the Río Savegre on the northwest, the Río Guabo and a series of coastal mountain ranges on the southwest and south, and the peaks of the highest mountains of the Cordillera de Talamanca (Talamanca Mountain Range) on the east. In the middle of the canton, the Río General, from which the canton's capital city takes its name, runs north to south. History Pérez Zeledón was created on 9 October 1931 by decree 31. Chirripó National Park
Chirripó National Park is a national park of Costa Rica, encompassing parts of three provinces: San José, Limón and Cartago. It was established in 1975. It is named for its most prominent feature, Cerro Chirripó, which at is the highest mountain in Costa Rica. Geography Chirripó is the 38th most prominent peak in the world. In terms of Holdridge life zones, the park can be categorized into five ecosystems: lowland tropical wet forest, premontane tropical wet forest, lower montane wet forest, montane wet forest and subalpine wet forest (páramo). Most of the park consists of both primary rain forests and primary cloud forests. Around it changes to wet desert.
