San Donà di Piave-Jesolo ( it, Stazione di San Donà di Piave-Jesolo) is a railway station serving the town of San Donà di Piave and the seaside resort of Jesolo, in the Regions of Italy, region of Veneto, northern Italy. The station is located on the Venice–Trieste railway. The train services are operated by Trenitalia. Modernisation In 2009, in anticipation of the restructuring of the services in the Veneto Region the station was moved a few hundred metres further east, towards Trieste. Jesolo or Iesolo (; vec, Gèxoło) is a seaside resort town and ''comune'' in the Metropolitan City of Venice, Italy of 26,447 inhabitants. San Donà di Piave (; vec, San Donà ) is a city and ''comune'' in the Metropolitan City of Venice, Veneto, northern Italy. It is one of the historical main towns of the ''Eastern Veneto'' territory, although it was totally reconstructed in the early 1920s after being heavily damaged during the World War I. Geography San Donà lies on the river Piave from Venice, from Treviso, and from Pordenone. San Donà and the surrounding cities in Veneto are known for being foggy in the autumn and the winter months. Rete Ferroviaria Italiana (RFI) is the Italian railway infrastructure manager, subsidiary of Ferrovie dello Stato (FS), a state-owned holding company. RFI is the owner of Italy's railway network, it provides signalling, maintenance and other services for the railway network. It also operates train ferries between the Italian Peninsula and Sicily. RFI's origins can be traced back to a series of railway sector reforms enacted by the Italian government during the late 1980s and 1990s.
