San Borja (Beni)
Location San Borja is the seat of the San Borja Municipality, the second municipal section of the José Ballivián Province. The city is located at an elevation of 197 m on the left bank of ''Río Maniqui'', a tributary of Río Rapulo which flows into Río Mamoré. Geography San Borja sits on the far southwestern edge of the Llanos de Moxos. San Borja straddles the transition zone from flat mosaics of floodplains and forest islands, to Southwestern Amazonian Rainforest. San Borja's orography is generally homogenous and flat. San Borja has a tropical monsoon climate, type (Am) in the Köppen classification system bordering on a tropical rainforest climate. Rain is plentiful but divided between a distinct wet and dry season. The flag of Bolivia is the national flag of the Bolivia, Plurinational State of Bolivia. It was originally adopted in 1851. San Ignacio de Moxos (or ''San Ignacio'') is a town in the Beni Department of northern Bolivia. History San Ignacio de Moxos was founded in 1689 by the Jesuit missionaries Antonio de Orellana, Juan de Espejo and Alvaro de Mendoza. Coroico
Coroico is a town in Nor Yungas Province, in the La Paz Department, Bolivia, La Paz Department of western Bolivia. History Coroico Viejo (Old Coroico) was founded above the river Quri Wayq'u (Quechua language, Quechua ''quri'' gold, ''wayq'u'' valley, hispanicized spellings ''Coriguayco'', ''Kori Huayco''). The town lived from mining gold, but the massive attacks by Native populations left the first Spanish colonial settlers in search of protection. Looking for a defendable position in the early 18th century, the settlers arrived at the current location of Coroico only to be chased into a cave by one of Mount Uchumachi's powerful lightning storms.
