Orlando Samuell
Orlando Samuels (born 31 December 1946), also known as Orlando Samuell, is a Cuban former volleyball player and coach. He competed in the men's tournament at the 1972 Summer Olympics. As well as competing at the Olympics, he won medals with the Cuban team at the Pan American Games, including a bronze medal in 1967, and gold medals in 1971 and 1975. Coaching Samuels was the head coach of the Cuban men's team from 1989 to 1994, and again from 2007 to 2013. Henry Paul Samuell (October 2, 1886 – March 21, 1938) was an American jurist and lawyer. Born on a farm near Havana, Illinois, in Mason County, Illinois, Samuell went to Illinois College and then received his degree from Illinois Wesleyan University in 1910. Samuell was admitted to the Illinois and Montana bars. Samuell practiced law in Montana for three years before returning to Jacksonville, Illinois where he practiced law. In 1916, Samuell served as county judge. Yann Samuell (born 7 June 1965) is a French film director and screenwriter. Life and career Samuell went to film school and was a storyboard artist before becoming a director. He had his directing debut in 2003 with '' Love Me If You Dare.'' His second film was the romantic comedy ''My Sassy Girl'' (2008). Additional works include '' L'âge de raison'' (2010). Samuell was screenwriter and director of a 2011 adaptation of Louis Pergaud's popular novel, ''La guerre des boutons.'' This adaptation is set in the 1960s, with the Algerian War as a backdrop. Samuell Williamson (born September 7, 2000) is an American college basketball player for the SMU Mustangs of the American Athletic Conference (AAC). High school career Williamson attended Rockwall High School in Rockwall, Texas for his four years of high school. As a junior, Williamson averaged 23.3 points and 9.7 rebounds in helping Rockwall to a 20–12 record, earning first-team Texas Association of Basketball Coaches all-state honors. As a senior in 2018–19, Williamson averaged 25 points, 11.2 rebounds, and 4.1 assists to guide Rockwall High School to a 30–6 record, the regional semifinals and a No. 8 ranking in the final regular-season Class 6A state poll.
