Yann Samuell
Yann Samuell (born 7 June 1965) is a French film director and screenwriter. Life and career Samuell went to film school and was a storyboard artist before becoming a director. He had his directing debut in 2003 with '' Love Me If You Dare.'' His second film was the romantic comedy ''My Sassy Girl'' (2008). Additional works include '' L'âge de raison'' (2010). Samuell was screenwriter and director of a 2011 adaptation of Louis Pergaud's popular novel, ''La guerre des boutons.'' This adaptation is set in the 1960s, with the Algerian War as a backdrop. The Great Ghost Rescue
''The Great Ghost Rescue'' is a children's novel authored by Eva Ibbotson. It was published by Macmillan in 1975 and was Ibbotson's first published novel. The story deals with a ghost called Humphrey the Horrible. A film adaptation of the novel debuted in 2011. Plot Humphrey the Horrible is a pleasant, friendly ghost - quite unlike his frightful, ghastly and loathsome family: his mother, a Hag; his father, a Scottish ghost killed fighting in the Battle of Otterburn in which he lost both his legs, and was run through by a sword; his brother George, a screaming skull; and his sister, Winifred, a wailing ghost covered in bloodstains. Eva Ibbotson
Eva Maria Charlotte Michelle Ibbotson (née Wiesner; born 21 January 1925 – 20 October 2010) was a British novelist born in Austria to a Jewish family who fled the Nazis. She is known for her children's literature. Some of her novels for adults have been reissued for the young adult market. The historical novel ''Journey to the River Sea'' (Macmillan, 2001) won her the Smarties Prize in category 9–11 years, garnered an unusual commendation as runner-up for the Guardian Prize, and made the Carnegie, Whitbread, and Blue Peter shortlists.
