Sami Uotila (actor)
Sami Uotila (born 1971) is a Finland, Finnish male actor, who is known best as Aki Nikkinen from the Finnish TV-series ''Salatut elämät'' on MTV3. He has also acted in the Municipal Theatre of Helsinki, in plays such as ''Housut pois'' and ''Poika ja tähti''. In addition he has lent his voice to a few cartoon films. Uotila has played Danny in the ''Grease'' musical directed by Marco Bjurström in year 2002. Uotila spent the summer of 2003 in Turku and worked in the play ''Oklahoma'' in the Summer Theatre of Samppalinna. In 2006 Uotila gave the Finnish language voice to Lighting McQueen in the animated cartoon film ''Cars (film), Cars''. Uotila stopped shooting episodes of ''Salatut elämät'' in 2001, but his character remained on screen until 2002 and later in 2014. Salatut Elämät
''Salatut elämät'' ("Secret Lives", literally "Concealed Lives") is a Finnish television soap opera that premiered on MTV3 on 25 January 1999. The series' storylines follow the daily lives of several families who live in the same apartment block in Helsinki. The series primarily centres on the residents of Pihlajakatu and its neighbouring areas. Only six of the original twenty characters Ismo ( Esko Kovero), Kalle (Pete Lattu), Ulla (Maija-Liisa Peuhu), Aki ( Sami Uotila), Kari (Tommi Taurula) and Elina (Inna Tähkänen, originally played by Sanna Luostarinen) still remain in the series, and most of the series' current characters have made their debuts in 2014 or later. Ismo is the only character who has never left the series. During the series' 23-year run, over 4,000 episodes have been aired, making it the longest running drama in television in the Nordics. MTV3 ( fi, MTV Kolme, sv, MTV Tre) is a Finnish commercial television station. It had the biggest audience share of all Finnish TV channels until Yle TV1 (from Yle) took the lead. The letters MTV stand for Mainos-TV (literally "Advertisement-TV", i.e. "Commercial TV), due to the channel carrying advertising for revenue. Marco Robert Bjurström (born 31 May 1966 in Helsinki, Finland) is a Finnish dance instructor, director, choreographer, television host, and news anchor. He is best known as the host of the television game show ''BumtsiBum!'' (1997–2005), which was ultimately based on the Irish ''The Lyrics Board'' and watched weekly by more than a million people. Bjurström has hosted several ceremonies, such as the election gathering of President of Finland Tarja Halonen.
