Samegrelo Chikhorotsku
FC Samegrelo ( ka, საფეხბურთო კლუბი საამეგრელო) is a Georgian football club based in the town of Chkhorotsku. They currently compete in Regionuli Liga, the fifth tier of the Georgian league system. The team plays their home matches at Bondo Papaskiri central Stadium. History Founded in 1980, the club has not participated in the Georgian top flight. In unique circumstances Samegrelo once took part in Pirveli Liga. In the middle of the 2014-15 season, they replaced Sasco, who had withdrawn from the competition due to financial troubles. As the team failed to stay up in the league, though, they spent the next three years in the third tier. Samegrelo won C Group of Meore Liga in 2016. However, not a single team gained promotion in this transitional season. 2017 Liga 3 (Georgia)
Тhe 2017 Liga 3 (formerly Meore Liga) was the first season under its current name and 30th third-tier season in Georgia. It began on 19 March and ended on 24 November. Team changes After the 2016 season many teams changed their division. A total 56 of them were relegated from this division only, which reduced the number of participants from 64 to 20 within one season. This exodus resulted from the announced reorganization of the entire league system and a transitional status given to all domestic divisions before these changes could take effect in 2017. Liga 3 (Georgia)
Liga 3, organized by Georgian Football Federation since 1990, is the third division of professional football in Georgia. Until 2017, when the current name was introduced, it was known as Meore Liga (the Second league). Structure and league system There were 20 teams competing in the league in 2017. In 2019, when Liga 4 was formed, their number was reduced to ten, although after two seasons GFF decided to extend the league to 14 at the expense of two bottom teams from the previous season and two second-placed clubs from Liga 4 While and Red Groups. For 2022 the number of clubs was increased to 16. Seasons run based on Spring-Autumn system with each team playing an equal amount of home and away games against their league rivals. 2015–16 Pirveli Liga was the 27th season of the Georgian Pirveli Liga. The season began on 2 September 2015 and finished on 21 May 2016. Format The tournament consisted of 18 teams. The first two teams went straight to the top of the Premier League, and the third place player had a Playoff with a 14th place finisher. The Georgian Erovnuli Liga 2 ( ka, ეროვნული ლიგა 2; ), organized since 1990 by GFF, serves as the second division of professional football in Georgia. Under the current name the league was introduced for the 2017 season as a part of reorganization process of the entire league system. It was formerly known as Pirveli liga (the First league). Structure There are ten clubs competing in Erovnuli Liga 2. During the season each club plays against its rival four times, twice at home and twice away.
