Transalpin
The ''Transalpin'' is a EuroCity express train linking Zürich (Switzerland) with Graz (Austria) via Liechtenstein. Introduced in 2013, it is operated by the Austrian Federal Railways (ÖBB) and the Swiss Federal Railways (SBB-CFF-FFS). From 1958 to 2010 a train of the same name linked Basel or Zürich with Vienna (see history below). The name of the train alludes to the fact that it crosses the Alps. ''Transalpin'' was also the Ancient Roman word meaning "behind the Alps", and referring to the region of that name in northern Switzerland. Western Railway (Austria)
The Western Railway (german: Westbahn) is a two-track, partly four-track, electrified railway line in Austria that runs from Vienna to Salzburg via St. Pölten and Linz Hauptbahnhof and is one of the major lines of Austria. It was originally opened as the ''Empress Elisabeth Railway'' in 1858 (Vienna–Linz). The line is owned and operated by Austrian Federal Railways (ÖBB). Routes The Western Railway consists of the double-track Old Western Railway (''Alten Westbahn'', line 1) and the double-track New Western Railway (''Neuen Westbahn'', line 30). For operational reasons the Western Railway is supplemented by the suburban track (line 23) from Vienna Hütteldorf to Unter Purkersdorf and the relief track (line 3) from Pottenbrunn via St. Pölten to Prinzersdorf. Bad Vigaun
Bad Vigaun is a municipality and spa town in the district of Hallein, in the Austrian state of Salzburg. Geography Bad Vigaun, formerly known simply as ''Vigaun'', is located in the historic ''Tennengau'' region, about south of the state capital Salzburg. The municipal area stretches from the Hagen Mountains, the Tennen Mountains and the Untersberg massif in the west to the Osterhorn Group of the Salzkammergut Mountains in the east. Elsbethen
Elsbethen is a municipality in the district of Salzburg-Umgebung in the Austrian state of Salzburg. Geography The town lies directly south of the federal state capital, Salzburg, and borders Flachgau. Parts of the town have become infrastructurally connected with Salzburg. Aigen (Salzburg City District)
Aigen is a district in the city of Salzburg, Salzburgerland, Austria and is known as one of the most expensive residential areas of the provincial capital. It is one of the 24 districts in which Salzburg is organized. The Salzach river is its western border and the municipality of Elsbethen is to the south. Many celebrities such as the Families Porsche and Piech, Franz Beckenbauer, Renate Thyssen-Henne, DJ Ötzi and others live in Aigen.
