Kamil Wiktor Stoch (; born 25 May 1987) is a Polish ski jumper. He is one of the most successful ski jumpers in the history of the sport, having won two World Cup titles, three Four Hills Tournaments (two of them consecutive), three individual gold medals at the Winter Olympics, individual and team gold at the Ski Jumping World Championships, and individual silver at the Ski Flying World Championships. His other tournament wins include Raw Air (twice), the Willingen Five, and Planica7. Stoch is among only three ski jumpers in history, alongside Sven Hannawald and Ryoyu Kobayashi, to win the "grand slam" of all four competitions in a single Four Hills Tournament. Johann André Forfang (born 4 July 1995) is a Norwegian ski jumper and 2018 team Olympic champion. Career Like his older brother Daniel Forfang he represents the club Tromsø SK. Forfang made his World Cup debut in December 2014. He won team gold medal FIS Ski Flying World Championships 2016 with his teammates in Tauplitz/Bad Mitterndorf. Salpausselkä
Salpausselkä (; "Bar Ridge") is an extensive ridge system left by the ice age in Southern Finland. It is a large terminal moraine formation that formed in front of the Baltic ice lake during the Younger Dryas period about 12,250–10,400 years ago. All together the formation is close to from end to end, and the ridges can be as tall as in some places. It runs from Hanko hundreds of kilometers to the east. It traps the extensive river and lake systems of Central Finland known as Finnish Lakeland (, "Lake Finland") and forces the water to flow through few breaches in the ridge. The Vuoksi River flows from lake Saimaa into Lake Ladoga () in Russia. From there the water subsequently flows through river Neva into the Gulf of Finland, bypassing the Salpausselkä. Ski jumping is a winter sport in which competitors aim to achieve the farthest jump after sliding down on their skis from a specially designed curved ramp. Along with jump length, competitor's aerial style and other factors also affect the final score. Ski jumping was first contested in Norway in the late 19th century, and later spread through Europe and North America in the early 20th century. Along with cross-country skiing, it constitutes the traditional group of Nordic skiing disciplines. The ski jumping venue, commonly referred to as a ''hill'', consists of the jumping ramp (''in-run''), take-off table, and a landing hill. Each jump is evaluated according to the distance traveled and the style performed. Lahti Ski Museum
Lahti Ski Museum is a sports museum located in Lahti, Finland, specialising in skiing and other winter sports. It is situated in the city's main sports complex adjacent to the Salpausselkä ski-jumping venue. History The museum traces its roots back to 1959, when the first exhibits were put on by the local winter sports club, ''Lahden Hiihtoseura'' (literally, 'Lahti skiing society'). The City of Lahti took over the activity in 1974, and the museum has formed part of the Lahti municipal museum since. The first purpose-built facility opened in 1989, designed by architect Esko Hämäläinen. The exterior of the building was redesigned in 2000 (shown in the picture) by Pekka Salminen, and the entire building underwent a renovation in 2017. A ski is a narrow strip of semi-rigid material worn underfoot to glide over snow. Substantially longer than wide and characteristically employed in pairs, skis are attached to ski boots with ski bindings, with either a free, lockable, or partially secured heel.
