Saloma Link
Saloma Link ( ms, Pintasan Saloma) is a combined pedestrian and bicyclist bridge across the Klang River in Kuala Lumpur. Directed northwest to southeast it joins the districts of Kampung Baru (northwest) and Kuala Lumpur City Centre (southeast). On the southwestern end a ramp leads up to the bridge, whereas on the northwest there are stairs and an elevator from street level. The bridge’s architecture is inspired by the sireh junjung (betel nut leaf arrangement) concept, which is an integral part of a Malay wedding. At night, the bridge cannot be accessed (from 01:00 until 05:00 from Monday to Saturday and 0:30 until 05:00 on Sundays and public holidays). Ampang–Kuala Lumpur Elevated Highway
Ampang–Kuala Lumpur Elevated Highway (AKLEH), (Malay: ''Lebuhraya Bertingkat Ampang–Kuala Lumpur''), is the first elevated highway in Malaysia. The elevated highway connects Ampang (Selangor) and Kuala Lumpur. This highway was built to reduce traffic jams at Jalan Ampang and make access to the city more convenient. Motorcycles and other vehicles with two wheels or fewer were banned from using this highway for safety reasons; however, the ban on motorcycles was lifted on 19 June 2008 because of escalating fuel prices. Klang River
The Klang River ( ms, Sungai Klang) is a river which flows through Kuala Lumpur and Selangor in Malaysia and eventually flows into the Straits of Malacca. It is approximately in length and drains a basin of about . The Klang River has 11 major tributaries. Saloma (actress)
Salmah binti Ismail ( Jawi: سلمه بنت إسماعيل; 22 January 1935 – 25 April 1983), better known by her stage name Saloma, was a Malay Singaporean-Malaysian singer, film actress, trendsetter and a fashion icon of Banjar and Bawean descent who became well known in the late 1950s. Saloma was well known for her vocal ability in singing, which was depicted as "lemak merdu", (a full, rather thick but sweet voice).
