Sally Ninham
Sally Ninham is an Australian historian and a former national representative rower. As a lightweight rower she was a national champion and won a silver medal at the 1990 World Rowing Championships. Early life and education Ninham was born in 1969 in the United States and grew up in Cook, Australian Capital Territory with her three brothers. She attended Cook Primary School, Campbell High School and Hawker College. She is the fourth child of Professor Barry William Ninham the Head of Department - Applied Mathematics at the Institute of Advanced Studies of the Australian National University. Sally Ninham studied at the Australian National University and La Trobe University, in Germany at the University of Hamburg and she undertook some studies at the University of California Berkeley. King's Cup (rowing)
The King's Cup is Australia's blue riband annual rowing race for men. Since 1878 it has been contested by state representative senior heavyweight men's coxed eights at the annual Australian Interstate Regatta. Since 1973 the Australian Interstate Regatta has been conducted on the final day of the week-long annual Australian Rowing Championships. The King's Cup is the final event of the Australian Championships and the Interstate Regatta. Roger Ninham
Roger Arthur Ninham (23 September 1942 – 1985) was an Australian Olympian stillwater rower, a surfboat rower and surfcraft boat builder. As a stillwater rower he was a four-time national champion across both sculling and sweep-oared boats and competed at two Olympic Games.
