Salif Keïta (Malian Footballer)
Salif Keïta Traoré (born 8 December 1946), known as Keita, is a Malian retired footballer who played as a striker. Club career Keita was born in Bamako, playing in his country for AS Real Bamako and Stade Malien. With the former, which he represented in two different spells, he was always crowned Première Division champion. In 1967, 20-year-old Keita left for France to join AS Saint-Étienne, where he won three consecutive Ligue 1 titles, including the double in 1968 and 1970. In his last two seasons with ''Les Verts'' combined, he scored an astonishing 71 league goals – 42 alone in the 1970–71 campaign – but the team failed to win any silverware; in 1970, he was voted African Footballer of the Year. Keita joined fellow league side Olympique de Marseille in the 1972 summer. AS Saint-Étienne
Association Sportive de Saint-Étienne Loire (), commonly known as A.S.S.E. () or simply Saint-Étienne, is a professional football club based in Saint-Étienne in Auvergne-Rhône-Alpes, France. Malian Football Federation
The Malian Football Federation (french: Fédération Malienne de Football, FMF) is the governing body of football in Mali. Founded in 1960, it joined the CAF in 1962 and has been affiliated with FIFA since 1964. Its first general secretary was Garan Fabou Kouyate. Famous leaders are Amadou Diakite and Tidiane Niambele. The 1972 African Cup of Nations was the eighth edition of the Africa Cup of Nations, the association football championship of Africa ( CAF). It was hosted by Cameroon, in the cities of Yaoundé and Douala. Just like in 1970, the field of eight teams was split into two groups of four. The Taça de Portugal (; "Cup of Portugal") is an annual association football competition and the premier knockout tournament in Portuguese football. For sponsorship reasons, it has been known as Taça de Portugal Placard since the 2015–16 season. Héctor Casimiro Yazalde (29 May 1946 – 18 June 1997) was an Argentine professional footballer who played as a striker. Nicknamed ''Chirola'', Yazalde scored 46 goals in one single season with Sporting CP, being awarded that season's European Golden Shoe.
