Faridpur-4 is a constituency represented in the Jatiya Sangsad (National Parliament) of Bangladesh since 2014 by independent politician Mujibur Rahman Chowdhury. Mosharraf Hossain (died 19 August 1999) was a Bangladesh Awami League politician who served as a Jatiya Sangsad member representing the Faridpur-4 constituency. Career Hossain was a veteran of the Bengali Language movement. He fought in the Bangladesh Liberation war. He was elected to parliament from Faridpur-4 as a Bangladesh Awami League candidate in 1991 and won again in 1996. Death Hossain died on 19 August 1999. The Jatiya Sangsad ( bn, জাতীয় সংসদ, lit=National Parliament, translit=Jatiyô Sôngsôd), often referred to simply as the ''Sangsad'' or JS and also known as the House of the Nation, is the supreme legislative body of Bangladesh. The Mukti Bahini ( bn, মুক্তিবাহিনী, translates as 'freedom fighters', or liberation army), also known as the Bangladesh Forces, was the guerrilla resistance movement consisting of the Bangladeshi military, paramilitary and civilians during the Bangladesh Liberation War, War of Liberation that transformed East Pakistan into Bangladesh in 1971.
