''Sajni'', (also spelled as ''Sajani'' or ''Sajini''), is a 2007 Indian Kannada film directed by Murugesh. The film stars Dhyan, Sharmila Mandre and Anant Nag in lead roles. lead actress Sharmila Mandre makes her Kannada debut through this film. The film is produced by Sonali Nikhil and Sunanda Murali Manohar. The film is the Kannada remake of Tamil film ''Jodi'' which was released in 1999. For the first time in Kannada cinema, the film featured a soundtrack composed by A. R. Rahman with all compositions re-used from Rahman's Tamil film ''Jodi'' which in turn had re-used the tracks from Rahman's Hindi movie ''Doli Saja Ke Rakhna''. The film released statewide on 23 February 2007. ''Jodi'' () is a 1999 Indian Tamil-language romantic drama film directed by Praveen Gandhi and produced by Murali Manohar. The film stars Prashanth and Simran in the lead roles, with Vijayakumar, Nassar and Srividya in supporting roles. The soundtrack is composed by A. R. Rahman, featuring music reused from his own earlier soundtrack for the Hindi film ''Doli Saja Ke Rakhna,'' except for the song ''Oru Poiyavathu''. Due to Rahman's unavailability, Praveen Gandhi signed Sabesh–Murali to quickly compose the background score. The film was the 25th film of Prashanth. The film was released on 9 September 1999. ''Guru'' is the soundtrack to the 2007 film directed by Mani Ratnam. The soundtrack was released on 18 November 2006. ''Guru''s music is composed by A. R. Rahman with lyrics provided by Gulzar. Overview Like many of Rahman's soundtracks, ''Guru'' comes with a variety of songs. The songs vary in their musical style, from the Turkish inspired " Mayya Mayya" to the folk-ish "Ek Lo Ek Muft", the love ballad '' Tere Bina'' and rain-themed song, "Barso Re". The song '' Tere Bina'' is dedicated to the memory of Pakistani qawwali singer Ustad Nusrat Fateh Ali Khan since it was the 10th anniversary of his death. Kailash Kher (born 7 July 1973) is an Indian music composer and singer. He sings songs with a music style influenced by Indian folk music and Sufi music.
