The Saint Pierre River is a tributary of the Mascouche River, flowing in the southwest of Quebec, in Canada. Saint Pierre River (Montreal)
The Saint Pierre River was a river in the city of Montreal, Quebec, Canada, flowing into the St. Lawrence River. The city of Montreal was founded at its mouth, at the height of the site Pointe-à-Callière Museum. Description The Saint Pierre river originated in the west of Montreal Island; one branch lead to the current Old Port of Montreal and the other poured into the river near the Aqueduct of Montreal in Verdun, Quebec, Verdun. Not far from the Saint-Jacques escarpment, the river formed Otter Lake at the present location of the Turcot Interchange. History The river was long used as a sewer by area residents. The Saint-Pierre river is a tributary of the east bank of the Saint-Regis River. The Jean-Pierre River is a tributary of the Jean-Pierre Bay, on the south shore of the Gouin Reservoir, flowing into the territory of the town of La Tuque, into the administrative region of Mauricie, in Quebec, in Canada. The Jean-Pierre River flows successively into the townships of Dansereau, Bureau and Leblanc, south of the Gouin Reservoir and on the west side of the upper Saint-Maurice River. Rivière-à-Pierre
Rivière-à-Pierre is a municipality of the Portneuf Regional County Municipality, in the administrative region of the Capitale-Nationale. This area of the Laurentian Mountains is part of the Batiscanie and has more than 200 lakes. The village of Rivière-à-Pierre was developed on each side of the river that bears its name. Rivière-à-Pierre is the second largest municipality in the Portneuf RCM in terms of area. Rivière-à-Pierre is recognized as the gateway to the Portneuf Wildlife Reserve, bringing many visitors, campers, hikers, hunters and fishermen into this wilderness.
