Saint Paul City Conference
The Saint Paul City Conference is the athletic conference for seven high schools in the city of Saint Paul, Minnesota, United States. Much like the divisions in professional sports, the Saint Paul City Conference is one of many in the state that divides schools in close proximity into different conferences. It is the second oldest conference in the state behind the Minneapolis City Conference. The conference officially began on Friday, October 28, 1898 when Central High School and Mechanic Arts High School played the first football game between the schools. MSHSL
The Minnesota State High School League (MSHSL) is a voluntary, non-profit association for the support and governance of interscholastic activities at high schools in Minnesota, United States. The association supports interscholastic athletics and fine arts programs for member schools. Membership includes nearly 500 schools, including special schools, home schools, and 435 high schools. The State High School League is an affiliate of the National Federation of State High School Associations (NFHS). The League also addresses sportsmanship, chemical health, scholarship recognition, and oversees tournament officials and judges. The League provides educational programs for coaches. The Classic Lake Conference was a conference for high schools in the west metro area of the Twin Cities, Minnesota. Murray Middle School (formerly called Murray Junior High School) is a junior high school and a former high school in Saint Paul, Minnesota, United States. The school is part of the Saint Paul Public Schools district. As of 2022 the principal is Jamin Mackenzie History In February 1926, Murray opened as a neighborhood school with 37 classrooms and a jungle gym. Grades and -7-12 were taught with a total of 200 students enrolled. In 1930, it nearly doubled in size. A new wing was also added. January 1940 saw the opening of the auditorium wing and the science labs underneath. 850 students were then enrolled in grades 7-12. The first graduating class was in June 1940.
