St. Francis High School is a public high school in St. Francis, Wisconsin serving grades 9 through 12. It is located along Lake Michigan. SFHS is the only high school in the Saint Francis School District. Academics Classes available to St. Francis students include: English, mathematics, social studies, science, Spanish, music, art, business, health and physical education, technology education, school-to-work, and special education. Athletics St. Francis High School was a member of the now defunct Braveland Conference for their inaugural school year, 1962-1963. When that conference dissolved the Mariners became charter members of the Parkland Conference, and were the only school to stay in the conference for its entire existence. Parkland Conference
The Parkland Conference was a division of the Wisconsin Interscholastic Athletic Association (WIAA) from the 1963 to the 2006 school season. It was formed in 1963 when the Braveland Conference split in two. In 2020, it was announced that the Parkland Conference would be returning for football for at least the next two seasons, replacing one of the Woodland Conference's divisions in the new football-only alignment. Wisconsin Interscholastic Athletic Association
The Wisconsin Interscholastic Athletic Association (WIAA) is the regulatory body for all high school sports in Wisconsin. Its history dates to 1895, making it the earliest continually existing high school athletic organization in the country. It also provides the licensing program for more than 10,000 officials in the state, and oversees junior high or middle school athletics in about 100 of the state's nearly 400 school districts. Daryl Stuermer
Daryl Mark Stuermer (born November 27, 1952) is an American musician, songwriter, and producer best known for playing the guitar and bass for Genesis during live shows, and lead guitar for Phil Collins during most solo tours and albums. He has also released nine solo albums, and tours with his Daryl Stuermer Band. Early life Stuermer was born on November 27, 1952, in Milwaukee, Wisconsin. He cites Duane, his elder brother of two years, also a musician, who introduced him to music by Elvis Presley and Ray Charles. As a youngster he became a fan of the instrumental rock band The Ventures, which "really got me going". He began to play the guitar at age eleven, and moved into jazz guitar four years later. Genesis (band)
Genesis are an English rock band formed at Charterhouse School, Godalming, Surrey, in 1967. The band's most commercially successful line-up consisted of keyboardist Tony Banks, bassist/guitarist Mike Rutherford and drummer/singer Phil Collins. The 1970s line-up, featuring singer Peter Gabriel and guitarist Steve Hackett, was among the pioneers of progressive rock. The group were formed by five Charterhouse pupils, including Banks, Rutherford, Gabriel, and Anthony Phillips, and named by former Charterhouse pupil Jonathan King, who arranged for them to record several singles and their debut album ''From Genesis to Revelation'' in 1968.
