Saint-Aimé-des-Lacs () is a municipality in the Capitale-Nationale region of Quebec, Canada. Saint-Aimé-des-Lacs is primarily dependent on vacationers and cottagers that support its tourism industry. History Settlement began in the 1820s, with the first residents settling around Lake Sainte-Marie (or "Petit Lac"), living as farmers, craftsmen, or forest workers. The area was originally incorporated as part of the Parish Municipality of Sainte-Agnès in 1855. But the territory of the parish was vast and the inhabitants had to travel far to attend parish services. From the 1920s to 1940, Lake Nairne played an important role in the air mail delivery to the North Shore. Due to its size, the lake was perfectly suited for seaplanes that used the lake as their base. Saint-Urbain () is a parish municipality located in the Charlevoix Regional County Municipality, in Capitale-Nationale region, Quebec, Canada. The municipality lies along Route 381 at the intersection with Route 138. History In the late 18th century, the Séminaire de Québec encouraged settlers to settle in the highlands of the area. Although the name Saint-Urbain was already in use since 1815, the parish was not canonically erected until 1827 and civilly in 1835. The parish, also called Saint-Urbain-de-Beaupré, was named in honour of Urbain Boiret (1731–1774), superior of the seminary in 1762. By 1830, the place has about 300 people in 50 families. La Malbaie () is a municipality in the Charlevoix-Est Regional County Municipality in the Province of Quebec, Canada, situated on the north shore of the St. Lawrence River at the mouth of the Malbaie River. Mont-Élie
Mont-Élie is an unorganized territory in the Capitale-Nationale region of Quebec, Canada. It makes up almost 38% of the Charlevoix-Est Regional County Municipality. The territory is home to the Grands-Ormes Ecological Reserve and part of the Hautes-Gorges-de-la-Rivière-Malbaie National Park. It is named after Mount Élie that in turn was named after Elijah. Nearby are other mountains and lakes named after Biblical prophets, such as Moses and Jeremiah. Mount Élie () is one of the main summits of the mountainous highland in the east of the Charlevoix region. Clermont () is a ''ville'' in the Canadian province of Quebec, and the seat of government for the Charlevoix-Est Regional County Municipality. It is located on the southern banks of the Malbaie River. History Around 1800, the first settlers moved into the area, living primarily of agriculture. Followed by a saw and flour mill, tradeshops, and stores, a settlement grew that was then known as Chute Nairne. At the close of the century, the place attracted attention for its hydro-electric potential, and by 1900, a dam was built across the Malbaie River, supplying electricity to La Malbaie and surrounding area. Notre-Dame-des-Monts () is a municipality of Charlevoix-Est Regional County Municipality, in the Capitale-Nationale region of Quebec, Canada.
