Sail for Gold is an annual sailing regatta in Weymouth, Dorset, Weymouth, the United Kingdom. The regatta was first held in 2006 and hosts the Olympic sailing classes, Olympic and Paralympic classes. It is part of the 2014 EUROSAF Champions Sailing Cup. Weymouth, Dorset
Weymouth is a seaside town in Dorset, on the English Channel coast of England. Situated on a sheltered bay at the mouth of the River Wey, south of the county town of Dorchester, Weymouth had a population of 53,427 in 2021. It is the third largest settlement in Dorset after Bournemouth and Poole. The history of the town stretches back to the 12th century and includes roles in the spread of the Black Death, the settlement of the Americas and the development of Georgian architecture. Iain Jensen
Iain Valjean Jensen (born 23 May 1988 in Belmont, New South Wales) is an Australian sailor. He started sailing in his hometown of Wangi Wangi when he was five years old, with his Olympic and Artemis Racing teammate Nathan Outteridge. With Outteridge, he won the 2009 and 2011 49er World Championships and gold at the 2012 Summer Olympics in the 49ers class. The team also won silver at the 2016 Summer Olympics. Nathan James Outteridge (born 28 January 1986) is an Australian sailor, a resident of Lake Macquarie. Ben Christopher Rhodes (born 10 May 1981 in Southampton) is a British sailor. Together with teammate Stevie Morrison, Rhodes became the 2007 World champion in the 49er boat. In 2008, they won the silver medal in the same event, behind the Australians Nathan Outteridge and Ben Austin, while in 2006, they won the bronze medal. He is the son of Phil Morrison, the British yacht designer. He represented the United States, at four Olympics: two times partner Graham Biehl, in 2008 and 2012 and twice with partner Dave Hughes in 2016 and 2020.
